Fantasmic - yay or nay?

I think Fantasmic keeps your attention because it combines a lot of movies so it should keep your attention hopefully. At least try it once

I'd do it. If you can't get a FP+ grab your dinner and sit and eat it while you wait. I really think it's something to see at least once. It's a fun show from a "villian" perspective. Something different!

I would give a try at least once. We don't do F! every trip. We will do it if we aren't ready to end our day and it is close to showtime. If you are going when there are two shows, plan for the second show, get some food and drinks and get there early. Take a seat, have your food and relax for a while. After a long day at the parks we like to just sit. The second show is late enough that we don't feel that we are missing anything by waiting. I think you owe it to yourself to try it once. It is only about a 30 minute show at the end of the day. Cheers!!!!!

How will you know unless you try it? My family really enjoys the show, we see it once per trip; it's a nice way to end the night. If you sit in the very first rows, you will get wet! If you don't want to get wet, sit a few rows back. If you wait a few extra minutes once the show ends, a lot of the crowd will disperse, making it easier to leave.

We haven't seen Fantasmic yet and I would love to get others' thoughts on it. For reference, my family loves fireworks and we really enjoy both Wishes and Illuminations. But, we tend to be on-the-move kind of people and don't really like sitting though shows... Even the Frozen sing along was too long for us! So I'm concerned that the whole process of Fantasmic might be too much for the family... Thoughts??
Distinction with no difference.

You wait to see Wishes & Illuminations while standing.

What's the difference waiting for Fantasmic! while sitting?

Wishes is a short fireworks display.

Personally, Fantasmic! is a real show, Illuminations is just something to do.

Simple answer - YAY for Fantasmic!

We've really never waited long for Wishes or Illuminations as we used FP. I have a 3-year-old daughter who still doesn't do too well sitting in one place for long so that's my main concern... Believe me, if it was just DH and me I wouldn't hesitate!

Love love love Fantasmic! Think it really showcases what Disney is all about in terms of storytelling. Good triumphs over evil!

My quick take. If only there for 1 day and no park hopper defiantly do not miss it. It is something to see. Really cool show. If you do have Park Hopper Epcot Illumination i liked better. Of course I am biased as a make my own small fireworks shows for friends and family. My Order Illumination, Wishes, Fantasmic.

I have seen it 3 times now. I would go see it at least once. There are some parts that seem like it is the same thing over and over and it kind of loses my attention. But other then that it is a good show. My granddaughter did not want to see it this past trip. She said she didn't really like it that much so we skipped it.

Fantasmic is definitely worth seeing. The only thing I don't like is having to get there so early - we're going in 17 days and I don't think there are two shows in September. So, we're stuck with the 8:30 show. No biggie, and we also wait for a good spot for Illuminations. This show is something you don't want to miss. Incredible is not even good enough a word.

Read carefully about same-day FP+ for F! in my post # 20 in this thread.

Like you, frozen sing along was too long for me and dh ( of course not for dds), but we do enjoy fantasmic. Just watch it once to check it out.

IMO one of the best shows at Disney and I wouldn't miss it!
