Have any of you here brought a child around 15 months old to Fantasmic? She doesn't get bothered by fireworks, loud noises, etc, but I'm worried it may be too much for her (the lateness isn't an issue, since she'll probably still be on our time schedule, which is three hours behind).
TIA! :goodvibes

We're wondering about it for our will-be-22 month old. she's actually starting to get into things a little more, so it may be more of an issue because she's older? We'll definitely not sit in the front if we go (and right now we have a dinner reservation then anyway so we might not be able to go anyway), but I do think she'd enjoy the fireworks, music, and especially the ending. We took her to Disneyland when she was 14 months old and we did their Fantasmic, which she watched some of and enjoyed, but then fell asleep at the end anyway (we were still on East coast time).

On our last trip to Disney (with our 3 children ages 2,3,4) we went to fantasmic - I knew the end would freak them out a bit so we walked out (with there back to the stage) 5 seconds before the part came. They loved the show and didn't get upset / scard by the end. And the best part - we beat everyone out and hopped directly on the waiting bus and quickly made it back to POR is record time (NO LINES :goodvibes ). I say go and have a great time. If you think the end might be a bit much just leave a few seconds early. My kids loved the show and all the characters in it.

When my kids were one, anything scary went over their heads. Two was a bit more difficult. That said, my oldest loves Fantasmic (and so do I) so we've never missed it. My kids have just turned their heads and buried them in my lap if they get scared.

I don't quite understand this because the ending isn't scary. It makes you happy the rest of the night. I think the scary parts are the snake, dragon, and water screen of villains. Once Mickey takes control of his dream, it is fun.

When I took my youngest when she was little I just turned her towards me and covered her ears like I was playing a game with her whenever it was coming up to the scarier parts. It worked well. She never knew what she was missed!

The worst part of Fantasmic with a baby that young is the waiting!!! You have to arrive early and then just sit!!! My kids struggle with that. We bring snacks, buy ice cream, etc. I'd do it! My ds was 20 mos when we went the 1st time. He was fine.

Thanks for all of the advice. She doesn't seem to be scared of anything (except goats, lol!!) so I'm hoping she'll be fine. My husband's never been to Disney, so I really wanted to see Fantasmic for him, but not at the expense of our daughter. :) I guess we'll give it a try and hopefully she'll be okay! :thumbsup2

I was wondering about this, too... I definitely do NOT have a good memory of how shows go, but I thought the ending was fun and celebratory. I guess I'll have to find it on YouTube to remember. :)

We brought our 13 month old DD to Fantasmic! And she did fine - she never once seemed scared by the noises. She did get a little bored in it though!
