Fantasmic VIP seating

We are going to WDW in October and I have most of the ADR's done. i booked the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic dinner package because I think waiting in the fantasmic line late in the day with 3yo DD might not work out so great. Was wondering what others think about this-We are debating on Sci FI because of the atmosphere-(but no Fatasmic VIP seating). Thanks

We went to disney last October and got the VIP seating at fantasmic. I honestly don't think the seating was any better than we would have got if we had just shown up last minute. We ate at Mama Melrose's and it was okay. If I were you I would go to Sci-FI. The atmosphere is great there.

We did the H&V with Fantasmic Dining. The food was fine and they have a make your own sundae bar for dessert. The kids liked that. The VIP seating makes it easy not to have to worry about how soon to get in line. It doesn't cost any more if you were just going to eat in the park anymore.
