Fantasmic v. Illuminations

Fantasmic is by far my favorite show.

I like them both, But I have to say that if they changed IllumiNations a bit, it wouldn't break my heart. They've been doing the same one for a while now.

I love them both. I love the music from Illuminations but the characters in Fantasmic. Now if they could just do something about those lines for Fantasmic...

I am definitely a Fantasmic fan. We saw Illuminations once and didn't care for it at all.

I don't know what eveyone was drinking when they saw Fanstasmic, but it wasn't that great. Illuminations is better hands down. I guess because I would rather watch a show standing on a bridge overlooking the water surrounded by flaming torches and music than sitting in a stadium full of people and battery operated flashers.

Illuminations is my favorite attraction of all attractions. I like them, but I can do without Fantasmic on most trips and can also miss Wishes on some trips.

However, if someone were going to WDW for the first time with kids, I would suggest doing Fantasmic or Wishes over Illuminations since they are more Disney-themed.

fantasmic is great. Its significantly better than Illuminations. Although I do like Illuminations.

I would have to say Fantasmic by far! It is one of my favourite things at Disney and we always go to see it each year!

hard choice but would have to say fantasmic. We have to see this at least once every year as Ds loves it

I like both, but went with Illuminations because even though it does need an update, I still get goosebumps watching it. Another plus for Illuminations is that you can walk around and enjoy Epcot before it starts as opposed to having to sit around in the Fantasmic Theatre 90 minutes or more before showtime.

We see Fantasmic at least twice every trip, its our favorite! Sometimes the only time we watch Illuminations is usually from the Boardwalk.

I love the "one world" message, the fireworks, the animated globe and the stirring music of Illuminations. It doesn't hurt that Epcot is our favorite park.

I just didn't get much out of Fantasmic. It wasn't as impressive overall, IMHO.

We love Fantasmic but having to wait in line and seated for 90 minutes before the show doesnt impress me much. We see Fantasmic once a trip. If it werent for the wait we would probably see it several times. Illuminations is outstanding but it needs to change. Once the globe comes out and the scenes come on I get extremely bored.

But Illuminations has won my heart. I could watch this again and again and again and.... you get the pictures...
Illuminations brings a tear to my eyes every time... (I miss it so much, I want to go back and see it now )

I love Fantasmic! Though I wish they would get rid of Pocahontas and do Peter Pan like at DL...

I really enjoy them both, but I absolutely love Illuminations. No matter how many times I've seen it, it never fails to give me goosebumps and bring tears to my eyes. I have the soundtrack cd and listen to it often. Fantasmic is magical, and if you have kids and can only do one or the other, my recommendation would be Fantasmic, as with Mickey it's more kid-oriented than Illuminations, though my kids enjoy that as well. I wish the Fantasmic in WDW was just like the one in DL though!
