Fantasmic to DTD

I have an 8pm ADR @ TRex in DTD. That is the only night that we are available to see Fantasmic @ 6:30.

Is this at all doable? And if so, the best route!

It is doable if Fantasmic starts at 6:30pm. It will end at 7pm so that leaves you an hour to get to DTD.

You will have to take the bus to either Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter. Those are the closest hotels. Preferrably FQ. From there you can take a bus or the boat.

Another option is taking the bus to Saratoga Springs, getting off at the Congress Park stop and using the walkway to Downtown Disney.

Another option - walk to the Boardwalk and take the bus to Downtown Disney from there. I think that would be the fastest thing possible, because it does not require a bus transfer or the multiple bus stops you'd experience from Saratoga Springs, but if you are a family with small kids you may prefer not to walk.

Also remember - for T-Rex you should get off the bus at the Pleasure Island stop (the second DTD stop), not the Marketplace (the first stop).

My only concern with this option is walking that path at night. I don't know when the OP is going to WDW, but if Fantasmic is at 6:30, my guess is that it will be dark at that point. I don't mind walking it during the day or in the evening in the summer when it's still light out, but I'd be careful walking it in the dark.

I'd walk over to the Boardwalk and take the bus from there.

I disagree with recommending BW as a place to get on the DTD bus. Many times, the BW bus will stop at Swan, Dolphin, YC, and BC before departing for DTD.

Boardwalk was usually the last stop when I used to go to DTD, not the first. I don't go to DTD anymore, so they might have changed it. I walk the path between Studios and Boardwalk at night and I do it often. After Fantasmic the path will not be deserted.

The OP might also consider taking a taxi - I think you can pick one up at Studios.

Personally, I would take a cab from the Studios to DTD.

I think your best option and ONLY guaranteed option is a Taxi.

If you are going to use the busses, my recommendation is to transfer at POP. To me at the values it seems like all the busses run more often. But then again there will probably be a long line to catch the bus after Fantasmic. I about have to agree with the PP, your best bet would probably be a taxi.
