OK, should i do a Fantasmic package on Sunday March 30th, the day we get to Disney (I figured take it easy and do HS and see Fantasmic) I am traveling with wheelchair grandma and DDs 11 and 9. This will be their first trip and I am trying to figure out if I should book the dinner package for center seating. My question is if we do a fastpass for this (i know i have read it doesn't do much good) but with wheelchair grandmom I am thinking she (we) will have to sit at top of amphitheater. Can we just do that as we will get some kind of seating up top with her (I am ok with waiting in line and getting to show 1 hr early) I only have limited budgeting and I think from reviews I have read I would rather do BOMA breakfast vs. money spent at Mama Melrose for Fantasmic. Sorry for long winded but thanks for your input.

7 days and counting YAY!!!

When you arrive at your first park, make sure you get the DAS placard/card for your wheelchair-bound mother. This will allow your family to sit in the Disabled access area at Fantasmic. You won't need to do dining or Fp+ and you will be seated at the top of one of the four centrally located sections.

We were there in 1998 and waited in that godawful line (it was Easter break). Me, dad, 2 younger siblings, and my mom who was wheelchair bound. We didn't have a GAC/DAS card or whatever it's called now. Not sure if they even had that back then. They let us all sit with her at the top. No other place for wheelchairs.

Flash forward to 2011. Me, dh, and my own young children (no mom) and we did Fantasmic! package. It was a blessing to not wait in that line with kids. Worth the money for us. Reserved seating was not dead center, but more off to the side. Still really good seats. We had separate entrance and walked right in. We had a great choice of seats.

But I'm not sure if it would be worth it for you if you are budgeting and would still be seated at the top anyways. I guess it's a matter of wanting to wait in line or not. (I also read FP+ is basically a waste here). Hope this helps.

On 3/30, Fantasmic is showing at 8:30 and10. Park closing is at 9:30.

You may be better off waiting for the late show. Your girls can enjoy a couple of extra rides on Midway Mania while the masses are at the early show. Then you can stroll into a much less congested amphitheater with little to no waiting. No dinner package necessary.

Thanks for replies
Do I have to get to the show early or stand in regular or fastpass line or is there an entrance for handicap? I just want to make sure we can see show and it has to be earlier one cause little one would be passed out by 10 show. thanks again

Ask this on the Disabilities board as someone there can give you more specifics. If you don't choose Fp+, you'll enter on the regular standby side - there will be wheelchair seating on that side too.
