Fantasmic- standing room only

Plan to do fantasmic but don't want to wait in line for an hour or more and don't really want to do the dining package so how does the standing room only work- what time do we need to get there by? Does it fill up? What time is the 2nd show?

Well it depends what time of year you are going and how busy it will be and how fast things will fill up. If there is a second showing it will be much less crowded than the first and you have a better chance of getting a seat with little wait. I have never had to stand so I cant tell you how that works.

If the parks are "really" busy, the standing area will fill up. If that's the case, you should get there any time before the show starts (about 15 minutes early).

If it's not OVERLY busy, it wont fill up and you can walk in even after the show starts and stand.

I was put in the standing room only last September. Once the theater gets dark the CM's direct you to the right side of the theatre to stand

When we were there in 2004, April vacation time so the park was crowded, my DS and I walked in right as the show was starting. We got to the standing room only section, had plenty of room, could move around till we found a spot we liked. It was nice because we may have been the last ones in, but we also got the be the first ones out. Got to the bus with no line.
