Hi there. I'm planning a trip to DL in April 2013. Was just looking over historical schedules and it looks like hit-or-miss on Fantasmic being presented in the April 20-25 range. We're thinking of going mid-week (Mon-Thurs) when we're in Southern California. Does anyone know how Fantasmic might be scheduled during these times? What about other entertainment?

My guess for that time period is that Fantasmic will either be weekends only or on a brief refurb. With a Mon-Thurs visit, you would miss it either way. There will be other entertainment. The DL parade would run most likely once per day, maybe twice. Shows like the Billy Hillbillies, Dapper Dans, and the Aladdin stage show will probably run 5 times a week. The two days the shows are dark will be weekdays, likely either Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs. WoC would probably run 1-2 times per night unless it's scheduled for maintenance.

I agree with Lurk. F! will almost certainly not be showing then, nor will any fireworks. If Disney keeps with the current schedule then WOC will still be going everynight.

"What You Should Know About Off-Season at DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=18462889

Which Days Should You Visit DLR In Off-Season?

My personal opinion is...

1. Three Day Trip and you do not care about entertainment offerings

Go Tuesday-Thursday. At this time Aladdin shows at DCA on Thursday-Sunday so you will need to see it on Thursday if interested.

2. Three Day Trip and you do care about entertainment offerings

Go Thursday-Saturday. On Thursday all day and Friday morning focus on rides. You will have Friday and Saturday night (usually) for full entertainment. If you want to see fireworks do that Friday night - HydroGuy's Fireworks Rule.

3. Four Day Trip and you do not care about entertainment offerings

Go Monday-Thursday. At this time Aladdin shows at DCA on Thursday-Sunday so you will need to see it on Thursday if interested.

4. Four Day Trip and you do care about entertainment offerings

Go Wednesday-Saturday. On Wednesday and Thursday all day and Friday morning focus on rides. You will have Friday and Saturday night (usually) for full entertainment. If you want to see fireworks do that Friday night - HydroGuy's Fireworks Rule.

The "hit or miss" for the April schedule is when peak spring break is (week before and after Easter). Since Easter is in late March, most spring breaks will be done by the 3rd week of April and we will be back to low season entertainment schedule. Be aware that fireworks likely won't be showing mid week either.
