Fantasmic Reserved Seating - with picky eater?

Hey there... I'm not a super regular on the boards, but am planning for our upcoming 4 day trip in DL the first week of December. We haven't been since they've had the FP for Fantasmic... I have a pretty significant foot injury (crushed beneath a car), so my tolerance to stand a long time, particularly after walking all day will be minimal.

Anyway... I really want to do BB dining package because of the front/center section - and the cushions! lol Plus menu looks great... except for my super picky DS8. Food is always challenging at DL for him (only chick nuggets, pizza (and even wont eat the toy story pizza place), and sometimes spaghetti. He's mostly vegetarian with greek yogurt, cheese, and most all veggies/fruits (but not together in a salad).

Do you think there's any option to order "off menu" for kids? or any suggestions that you experienced folks might have? I've even considered buying him kids ticket and having him eat before hand, but that seems kind of silly. I haven't really looked at the grab and go thing - don't know if that's better for us or not (or if dining thing even worth it since that part is standing, correct?)

Thanks for not rolling your eyes at my picky kid... :) Sadly food options tend to be big factors for us with vacations (last year in the carribbean was super fun...). Appreciate the advice!

Based on what you said about your injury, the Aladdin "On-the-Go" package probably wouldn't be a good idea. You get a regular FP (the same you would pull from the FP machine). While there is some ground sitting areas in both of the FP viewing areas, those go fast and there is no guarantee that you'll get one. Most of the FP viewing areas are standing room only). The BB dining package is the only one with guaranteed ground seating in the viewing area (although guests can opt to stand in the back behind the ECVs/Wheelchairs). The RBT is also a pretty safe bet for ground seating (the latest info is that the two dining package viewing areas have been merged).

I was just looking at the BB Fantasmic menu thinking "my kid will eat none of this!!" so I feel your pain!

We just did the Carthay Circle WOC package and we explained our kid ate nothing but bread cheese and fries none of which were on the package menu. So the waiter was able to get the chef to make him a grilled cheese sandwich and french fries!! And, even though he's 11, they only charged us the kid's menu price!!

I've heard rumors that if they have the items on the menu they can probably make it, and I think they may serve fries in the lounge downstairs at CC so they were able to make the switch.

So, chances are strong that if they would do it for the WOC package they may be able to do it for the Fantasmic package as well. They don't want any sad hungry kids at Fantasmic!

Sorry it's not a definitive answer, hopefully somebody more in the know will chime in!

I agree that the waiters will assist in making sure there is something the child will eat. Maybe look on the regular menu to see what non package options there are?
