I cannot find the super thread I searched and there were about 500 results and didn't have time to search through them.

We did F! last time but I need a few reminders.. I want to think that we had to go to city hall to check in and then we had to go check in by ROA and choose seats, and then had to come back later to watch the show. Does this sound right? How soon do we need to be at each station?

You pick up your tickets at Guest Services (Or at the front desk if staying at one of the DLR hotels). Check in to choose your seats is across from HM by the Churro cart - you will see the podium set up. People start to line up between 6:30 - 7 to check in and the check in process starts at 8 pm. After you choose your seats, you can come back any time from 8:30 on to be seated for the show.

When we went, we were told you can no longer get your F! tickets at hotel checkin. You have to get them at City Hall.

I just had vacation planning order some for me for next month and she stated that they will be there when I check into the Grand. Maybe they are only doing it for guest who use vacation planning?

DD & I did the F Dessert Seating last year on the 4th of July - we chose the 2nd show *but seats for both shows are selected at the same time. We lined up fairly early, we had 2 groups in front of us, group A was 2 adults for the 2nd show and group B was a group of 3 for the 1st show ~ so DD and I *group 3* were the 2nd group selecting seats for the 2nd show, I started chatting with the man in front of me, he was waiting in line while his DD & DW did some rides *I couldn't do this cause it was just the 2 of us, he said he'd hold my spot while we rode some rides :thumbsup2 so we rode rides in the area *we had a couple sets of FPs for Thunder, checked in every once in a while and when it got closer to 8pm we stayed in line to select our awesome seats for the show .

No idea. Dh booked them, not sure if it was through VP or something else. but they were very clear that they don't do pick up at the hotels. :confused3

Were staying at HOJO so that wouldn't apply to us :) But thanks

People start lining up at 6:30

Ya know.. I think that they should assign seats in the order you reserve them or something.. the last thing I want to do on vacation is reserve something and pay in advance for it, then wait in line to get tickets, then wait in line for HOURS to reserve our seats, and then have to come back to wait in line AGAIN to see the show..

sorry for venting :confused3

Don't be sorry - I have long felt that way too!! Although, I guess the thinking is that they may consider back row center to be better than front row to the side and someone else would think the opposite.

My suggestion to that would be that when calling and paying for all of it to say where you want to sit? IDK OR when you pick up your tickets you choose your spot?

Yeah, the lineup is annoying. That being said, we did F! MLK day weekend on Friday. Dh got in line at 7. There were 2 people in front of him. We got fairly center (I think) front row. And he ate dinner while waiting and such, so it wasn't a total waste (and it was only an hour). It took that whole hour for the rest of us to feed the kids. Then we went off and did rides and came back about 10 minutes before the show. Got our drinks and boxes and were good to go.

Could someone explain how seeing Fantasmic works at DL please? What is this about reserving/paying for seats and picking up tickets?

any info about fantasmic at disneyland would be great to know. this thread seems confusing to me, but I've never been to disneyland.. first trip in may!!

Most people don't pay/get tickets for Fantasmic! It's free-for-all standing along the Rivers of America (or if you're in the center area, you sit on the ground).

You can book a dessert package, though, where you get reserved seats as outlined above, and also a dessert box with sweets, cheese, grapes, etc. I'm too cheap so I haven't done it, but it does sound pretty fun. :)

I am going through this process for the first time next week :confused3

We will not arrive to Disneyland until about 8:00. I am thinking we should go directly to the check in podium and will be allowed to choose our seats for the second show of F!

Do we actually go out to the seats to select or is the selection done on a seating chart at the podium?

If our arrival is delayed, the first show might be happening when we arrive. How will our seat selection work then?

Thanks :flower3:

Premium Viewing is reserved seats at the Riverfront very close to the water (you can feel the heat when the river catches on fire! They serve a dessert box with assorted small desserts - mini cheesecake, macaroon, chocolate lava cake, raspberry filled shortbread cookie, mini key lime pie, grapes, cheese and crackers (contents can change from time to time). There is also a sugar spoon - great for stirring coffee/tea and adding even more sugar to hot chocolate! They have bags for to take make your dessert box with any leftover treats. Drinks are unlimited and include coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, sodas, lemonade and water.

You call 714-781-4400 to make reservations. It is advised to call exactly 30 days before you want to go right at 8 am (example, if you want 3/4 call on 2/4). If you are closer to the date, still call but know that shows could be sold out. There are usually 2 showings - 9 and 10:30. After the 9 pm showing, you can stay in your seats and watch the fireworks.

You pick up your tickets at the Guest Services kiosk which is on your left after the security gates coming from DTD. If you are staying at one of the DLR hotels, you will get your tickets when you check in - although, some have said that has changed.

You will check in at 8 pm across from the Haunted Mansion - but people start lining up to check in as early as 6:30. As each person checks in, you will actually choose your seats. After check in, go enjoy the park and come back around 8:30. They will seat you and start the food service. They will tell you not to worry if you get caught somewhere and are running late. Since your seats are already assigned, just show up. The price currently is $60 per person with a discount for kids ($10 less). Or if you are staying at a DLR hotel, you can use Vacation Planning. Their phone number is 714-300-7526, press 2.

They have a chart at the podium that shows all the seats and which ones are still available so yes, go straight to the podium to check in. You can still check in if the first show has started.

We did the F! Dessert Party on January 14 and I had heard conflicting reports about being able to pick up tickets at the hotel so I tried it. We were staying at the GCH and I went to Guest Services that morning and asked about picking up my tickets. I was told that you could only pick them up at the hotel if you had booked them as part of a package. We didn't, so I had to pick them up at the ticket booth outside the park.
