The only time Fantasmic will be on during our DLR time is Sunday Dec. 5, which is also a Candlelight Processional night. This is the evening we will be arriving from San Diego, probably not till late afternoon or early evening. We have seen Fantasmic 2 or 3 times at WDW - is it worth battling the crowds to see it at DL? (We have chosen not to battle the WDW crowds the last 3 trips). I'm not sure what time the CP is, but I'm wondering if people will watch that, and then try to get to Fantasmic. Is it possible to enter the park, then get to where Fantasmic is shown, bypassing the CP crowds? I definately don't want to spend all the money to do the desserts/reserved seating, as we might be too tired out to go anyway. Thanks, Pam

It depends on how much time you have but in general I would say it is worth it. F! at DL feels so different than DHS and most think it is better.

eh - I haven't bothered with F! in years and didn't see it the past 2 times to WDW either. I figure by the time I see it again, it will have been such a looong time, it'll seem new to me.

So, I guess I'm saying - don't sweat it if it'll stress you out to try to fight the crowds.

I have never been to WDW so I haven't seen F! there but the general consensus as I've come to understand it is that F! is better at DLR. I'm completely biased and I absolutely LOVE F! and would highly reccomend it.

I would definitly try to see the DL F!. It you go in, you can go through Adventureland to get to Rivers of America where F! takes place. This would be a bit hard during CP because you will have to cross mainstreet. One sidewalk is for in and one for out. You can also go around the whole park or take the train.

IMO I would have no problem seeing F! in DL and never again in WDW. I'd give F! in DHS a 7/10 in DL F! is a 8.5/10.

I love fantasmic at DL it is way better than at WDW. For me Fantasmic is a must see at either park but it is much better at DL because the boats are nicer. and the setting is great. I love the sailing ship at DL. it is a must see for sure...

If we would go to the 9pm Fantasmic show the Candlelight Processional night, what time would we really need to start lining up for Fantasmic? If I understand correctly, you need to stand rather than sit as we do at WDW. We have an average sized DD6 who would need to see. But, none of us will want to wait any longer than actually necessary.

Thanks for all the help.

You understand partially correctly. At World of Color you need to stand. Fantasmic has both standing and sitting areas. Do not confuse sitting at F! at DL with stadium seating at DHS. At DL it is more like a parade where sitting means on the ground. If you have kids it is easy for them to see if you can get a spot in front in the sitting area.

That is easier said than done - especially for the 9PM show. If there is a late show it is much easier to get a front spot. For the 9PM show you should come with a blanket and arrive by 7PM at the very latest. 6PM would be better. Mark out your spot and leave someone with the blanket at all times.

They also have reserved seating with the Fantasmic Dessert package. We did this in August and will be doing it again in December. It's pricey but it's worth it to us. You do have to go early to check in and get your seat assignment but it's not that early if it sounds like something you may like do a search on this board and I am sure you can find more info about it.

The show is better at Disneyland but there is not seating like WDW.

I would not waste an entire park day just for it though. If you have extra days or an AP I would go see it. My guess is the crowd for F! will be lower because of the the CP.
