What a FP+ for F! offers is more CHOICE in seating.

If you DO get a F! FP+, you can choose to sit in either the FP section (virtually the entire left half of the theater)

or the Standby section (virtually the entire right half of the theater.)

So, whatever section has the better seating at the time you arrive, you can go there.



Without a FP, you can only choose a seat in the Standby section.



There is a very good chance that you can get a FP+ for F! as a 4th or 5th FP of the day because they issue SO MANY of them (enough to cover nearly the entire left half of the seating.) On many nights, it is possible that you can gat a FP+ for F! as you are walking to the theater.



As to when to arrive at the theater, I'd get to there 45-60 minutes before the show-time.

Even with a FP or Dining Pkg. reservation, don't wait too late.

On busy nights, the CMs can stop holding the reserved sections within 20-30 minutes before show-time, and turn over any available seats to waiting walk-in guests.

There is sometimes a "pre-show" (such as it is) that can help pass the last 30 minutes before show time.

When I was there about a week ago they were doing the testing where for FP's you only scan one band for you're whole party. I scanned, looked back at the CM screen as I went by and saw a little red icon come up with a "2" stating 2 people in my party. Then I imagine due to this testing, they did not have the usual FP area in the arena. There was only the dining area and then the rest was a free for all, which was quite annoying.

I imagine now they've done away with the scanning one band test and have brought back the reserved FP area. I hope at least. Next time I go back if I have a FP and don't have a FP area, I'm going to be pretty annoyed again.

Is there still a back way out of the theater when the show is over?

No test right now, just normal entry (thankfully).

As for exiting, there is really only one way - the way you came in. Sometimes they will open up a secondary backstage path, but its no faster than the regular way. The last time I used that route was pre-Frozen, so I'm not sure if they use it during the celebration since the fireworks launch right after Fantasmic lets out

Exit out of near the middle close to where you enter, or off to the left and come out by the front of the park
