Fantasmic PS in January?

Hi! We'll be in WDW Jan 26-31. I'd really like to see Fantasmic - heard great things about it. My question is, do you think we should make PS reservations during that week? If we don't, how difficult will it be to get in, and to get decent seats?

I'm not really interested in eating at any of the restaurants that offer the PS ressies - I've eaten at all three and would like to try something different.

Welcome to DIS!!! Although I've never been this time of year, I'm heading down a week before you and I don't think a PS will be necessary. Went to Fantasmic on Dec. 11th and walked right in 45 min. before showtime and got great seats!!! Plan on doing the same thing in a few weeks!!!

I don't think you need it in January. We went Dec 22nd and we got good seats in the center about 45 minutes before the show. If there are 2 showings, go to the second one.

Thanks for your replies, Travelin' Tigger and Disney Alley! I was hoping a reservation wasn't needed. Of course, if you call WDW Dining and ask them, they'll tell you do need them!
