We have never seen Fantasmic and would like to go on our trip next month. My kids are little, so I really want them to have a great view. Is it worth it to do the priority seating, or just best to stake out a spot? I read on another thread that you have to line up early to check in for priority seating, so I am confused on what is best to do. I sincerely appreciate any help. Thanks so much!

Hi, Fantasmic is down for refurbishment till November 6th, so I hope your trip is after that.

There's been a lot of discussion on whether the reserved seating is worth it. Many people say they can't imagine paying that much for a show that is free, in order to get a seat and get a box of snacks. Others who have done it said it was very worth it. Here's a thread that discusses it and gives lots of opinions; there's some pictures on there, too: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1815941

Hope that helps! We really liked it, ourselves, and would do it again.

Thanks so much! We are going the 7th, right when it re-opens, so I assumed it will be a busy night. This is exactly what I was looking for. I tried searching, but did not come up with much luck! I appreciate it!

One last question...do you pay for the tickets when you make the reservation and if so, what if you need to cancel?

I *think* that you make a PS ( 714-781-3463) and then when you go to check in the night of your PS you pay. At least that is my understanding. I will be corrected if wrong.;)

You do pay for the tickets when you make the reservation, not when you check in, and they are nonrefundable (unless you are rained out or something, then they will try to get you to another show or refund your money).

We did it on our last trip in May!
It was totally worth it to us as my husband refuses to stake out a spot ahead of time and I cannot do it with my two children as one of them will inevitably need to go to the bathroom and I cannot leave them alone!
We also find it very annoying to stake out a spot, have to work at maintaining it as more people come and inevitably still have people take up the little space you have been maintaining for hours.
Our seats had a fabulous view and my 10 year old daughter said she felt like a VIP with her dessert box and being served hot chocolate.
We would do it again but only you can decide whether it is worth the money!
You definitely pay for the tickets when you call and they tell you that they are non-refundable!
We were told to check in at 7:00 pm but I think that has changed. From everything I read, I was advised to be there before this to get the best seats. I arrived at 6:00, even before they brought out the podium and was
2nd in line. However, the first people in line had tickets to the 1st show and we to the 2nd so we actually got the best seats for our show.
I agree that it is a pain to have to line up for the tickets but at least only one of you has to line up so everyone else in your party can do something else.
Then once you have your seats, you are free to do whatever you want until your showtime.
We were actually able to do the Electric Parade in DCA, rush over to Disneyland and see the fireworks from the train station, wait for the train to start running again and then take the train to NOS and we made it before Fantasmic started!
We really enjoyed the desserts also and ate them for days!

How little are your kids? If they are over 9, they pay the adult price of $59/person and the kid's price is $49/person. I think under 2 is free, but they have to sit on your lap then.

We also did it in May and thought it was so worth it for us (only two of us). If Fantasmic! was on during our trip in October, we would certainly do it again (but it's not :sad2: )

Hi there, can anyone tell me how you go about booking this, is it the same as calling for PS?

Thanks again.

Hi, We watched Fantasmic 2 times without the seats (Aug 30-31) and on Sept 1 we had reserved the dessert package with the seats and thought it was SO worth it. The view we had was absolutely perfect and having an actual seat actually made the Fantasmic experience in itself SO much better than watching it sitting on the ground. The box of goodies and the hot cocoa were a nice plus too!!!! We paid for our tickets the day that we reserved the seats over the phone. We showed up at the podium at 7:30pm on the night of the show and were the first ones line. We would definetly do it again! We got totally HOOKED on Disneyland and we cant wait to start planning our next trip really soon! :goodvibes

You call 714 781 4400 30 days in advance and tell the CM on the phone that you want to book tickets for Fantasmic premium viewing.

Tickets are $ 59 for adults, $ 49 for kids and your card will be credit charged immediately.

You will have to pick up the tickets at guest service in California Adventure and for that you need your order code and a photo ID.
