So I finally decided to try the preferred seating for Fantasmic and was able to get seats for in a few weeks. The VP Planner told me to line up at 8 p.m. to get checked in for our 9:30 showing. Does this sound right? Where do I go to check in? Thanks.

They begin checking people in at 8. We found that by 6:30 people were already lining up at the check in point. The first to check in get their choice of seats. Knowing this my DH took a book and was in line early so we could have great seats!

I got in line at 7pm and I was second and we got front row seats. It kind of sucks for the person who has to wait there for an hour, but the rest of the party can be off having fun!

I don't think I am going to wait for an hour before check in...to me it defeats the purpose of having reserved seats. I understand that is probably what it takes for front row but I am okay with second or third too. Thanks for the info.

How do you do the Fantasmic preferred seating? Can people on ECV's be there? How far in advance do you have to book? I may have to go to LA in a couple of months. I have no idea when though, it's going to be a trip on the fly. I may get a couple weeks notice. Thanks!

You call this number (714) 781-4400 for the fantasmic! dessert buffet. I have never seen any people on ECV's in the preferred seating, but I believe they let the ECV people park in specific area in the preferred seating area. The earliest you can book is one month in advance of the day of the show you are planning on seeing.

Sweet! Thanks! As long as there's somewhere to park, I can get off and walk over to a seat. :thumbsup2 This would make things so much easier. I used to love the DL version better than the WDW one, but I haven't seen it in probably 15 years, so this would be a nice treat.

I've done this when I had my foot injured. They indeed asked me to park the ECV near the entrance of the reserved seating area - there's like a small walkway from the podium to the seats - and then I hopped on my crutches to my seat.
