Fantasmic pkg or elsewhere?

We have a Fantasmic Pkg. booked for beginning of June. Reservations are for Mamma Melrose at 4:35 for a 9 pm show. Thinking this may be a little early, we are considering dinner on Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club area and then returning back for the show. I will have 3 youg children (2,5,7) and would like to wait as little as possible. Has anyone done the Fantasmic pkg. lately? Is it really less waiting with the package? Do you still enter the theater in a different location than non package guest (front of park by Oscars station)? Thanks for your help.

I haven't done the package in a couple years, but I have done it twice in the past. Personally, I think it is worth not having to stand in line. The first time I saw the line, I thought No Way. With the scaled back number of of shows, I think the Fantasmic DP is an even better way to go. I just booked mine today for June 11th! I was thrilled to get it!

I think I read the entrance is now near the regular standby line. I'm not sure!

I just booked my FDP for June 11th as well. We'll be dining at MM with a ressie time of 3:55.....thats early but a least we got one! According to the CM, it was the last time available. Your little ones will love it.....its a must according to our kids.

here's a recent thread talking about what Fantasmic experience is like now that they have cut the showings down to just a couple of days a week. The consensus seems to be that the package is even more valuable than before:

To OP, even with a 4:35 seating, you probably won't be done until close to 6 p.m. then it's just 2 hours until time to join the line for the 9:00 p.m. showing. I'd keep the package.
