I know everyone has ADR's months ago, but its SO difficult to figure it all out!
As its our first trip to Disney!

This is for 2 people, my hubby & myself, no kids. We are on the Dining Plan. We have 8 Table service credits each and as it is we are really using those up on dinners plus...(have to use them for a character breaky - Chef Mickey) & are thinking of doing Spirit of Aloha - which requires 2).

So my question, for Sat. Nov. 18th should I be booking the Fantasmic pkg.?
Which requires us to use Hollywood & Vine or Momma Rose's. (Obviously Brown Derby is out as it requires 2 tickets & I'm scrapping by as it is). I'm leaning towards Hollywood & Vine as I like lots of choices, but it doesn't get rave reviews.

My other option is use our counter service tickets for dinner (we are doing Sci-fi for lunch that day).

The Osborne lights are on this day but only from 6-7pm - seems stupid. Anyone going to Fantasmic can't see them right? As we'll be having to move across MGM to get in line for Fantasmic. And they'll be off when we get out.

I'd love to go into 50's Prime Time, but not to eat - again not enough TS (darn those things limit you!) People can just sit for a bit & have a milkshake just to take in some atmosphere though right - just not at prime dinner time!

I know I'm rambling...to summerize! Do I need Fantasmic pkg.? Will Sat. Nov.18th be a busy night - only the one 7 pm show. I just don't want to "waste" TS tickets on Hollywood & Vine if I don't need to.
Oh the confusion...

I personally wouldn't waste a TS on Hollywood and Vine, Infact, I wouldn't waste any type of payment media on H&V. By far the worst restauraunt to eat in Disney, in our opinion. As far as the Fantasmic, I say wing it. Lets face it - you are only two people. Go get counter service and bring it in to the Fantasmic stadium. Finding seats for two people should be a breeze. I agree about the Osbourne lights. A little dissappointed that they have this while you have to hop in line for Fantasmic on the other side of the park. Why in the world do they only have that show for 1 hour??

I think you will be fine doing CS for dinner in the stadium. Just make sure you get it before you go in because the CS in the stadium is slim pickings. I also think you will be happy that you didn't waste a TS at MGM. Spending it on the ALoha is worth it.

GOOD LUCK!

Thank you for posting Cmbar.

Your response helped confirm what I was wanting to do anyway.
We will wing it for Fantasmic!

We are going to try to see the Osborne Lights the next night Nov. 19. We'll make a special trip over to see them. Least they are on for 2 hours that night 6-8 pm.

Glad to help. I think you will be happy with your idea. Everytime I choose to do the package Fantasmic, I always feel that I wasted a TS! I was really uspset after eating at Hollywood and Vine. It may have just been a bad night and I think they have changed it to a character meal, but honestly there isn't anything really great to eat at MGM! As far as Fantasmic, in November you should be fine! Although, that is the weekend before Thanksgiving, so make sure you do allow ample time to get some seats, but again you shouldn't have a problem with just two of you!

Enjoy!!!!!
