Is the package really worth it?

If you're going at a peak time it will save you from having to line up well in advance of the show.

I suggest you do a search on this board for the Fantasmic Dinner Package, and you will find lots of opinions on the package itslef, the restaurants, etc.

As for the cost, we thought it ended up being a pretty good deal. With all the food that is included, we saved money by doing the package. Choices are rather limited for each course, but we certainly found things that we enjoyed to eat. It was also great not to have to wait in line, but just walk right in for the show. Lines are definately NOT our thing. We go at times of the year that are generally lighter crowd-wise and we still liked doing the package.

...and if you go to Hollywood & Vine, it is a buffet and there are no menu restrictions. You have access to the full buffet!

We are going October 18th to the 22nd. Is that a busy time?

It shouldn't be busy at that time. Last year we went the first week of October and had no problems. The MK was busy on the weekend, but not to bad. We're going again in October (8th - 15th).
