Is there a Fantasmic package that you can get with the DDP? If so, what restaurants? How many credits?

Yes - I think you can book the dinner package for the earlier show only (if there are two). The restaurants are Hollywood & Vine, The Brown Derby and Mama Melrose's. And you need to actually specify that you want the Fantasmic! Dinner Package...a reservation at one of these places alone doesn't get you "seating" for the show. Book early, they seem to fill up fast. The only thing to note with the DP is that The Brown Derby is a signature restaurant, so it'll take 2 TS credits, I believe.

Yes, Brown Derby 2 credits, Hollywood & Vine or Mama Melrose 1 credit. The package is available only at those three restaurants and you must call to book it - you can't book it online.

Thanks guys!

I can't decide what to do. None of those restaurants are really on my "list". However, there is only one showing of Fantasmic scheduled during our trip so I am guessing it will be packed. I am probably going to hold out and hope that they add more shows!

Also, if you make reservations for the Fantasmic Dinner Package and use your DP, you get an appetizer with your meal at no extra cost! Appetizers are not included in the regular DP but they are included with this package...at least they were at Mama Melrose which is where we ate in May, 2010. If you are on the DP and want to see Fantasmic, this is a no brainer to get an appetizer at no cost and reserved seating for the show! See the link below for our trip report for pics of Fantasmic!

Hi we booked with mama melrose and just come back. We used 1TS and got the fantasmic tickets - well worth it, some people queueing up two hours plus before the show. We also got three courses instead of the usual two on the regular ddp

My family woud like Mama Melrose I think. However we have ADRs for Via Napoli and not sure I want to do both. Any thoughts as to the similarities here?

How do you know what time to make your ADR for Mama Melrose if you are wanting the Fantasmic tickets?

This will be my first time at WDW and find all this so overwhelming but I want to make the most of our visit.

Thanks!

You can't book it online, you have to call in and ask for a Fantasmic DP. They fill up quickly as there are only 3 TS restaurants that offer it and Fantamic is only shown a few times a week. It will always be for the early show if there is more than one Fantasmic shown. It will be an early dinner around 4:30 is the latest for a 8pm show.

If you're within 180 days, I wouldn't get your hopes up. I've booked this several times (twice at Mama Melrose, and later this month at The Brown Derby), and I've had to book it 180-190 days in advance (taking advantage of the 180+10 booking window for packages) in order to get it. I don't know of ANYTHING at WDW that books up this quickly. Compared to this, CRT and Le Cellier are a breeze to book.

I am less than 3 months out, and managed to get a Brown Derby Fantasmic Package last week. We had to change our trip dates, and there had been nothing for weeks. I called last week, and surprise, not only did they have BD the night I wanted, but Mama Melrose as well. In my experience MM has been harder to get than BD. I think they must intend to add later shows for Thanksgiving week. There is only 1 show at 6:30 currently for every day it is showing that week. Our ressie is at 4:00, persumably for the 6:30 show, but I think that is going to be pushing it.

I managed to get a lunch ADR for Mama Melrose on Jan.6 just last week! They had lunches on the 2nd and 9 also, but no dinner. I prefer lunch ADR personally, so this worked out great for us! Seeing how early the dinner seatings are for the package, I guess it is worth looking at lunch times also.

We did eat at MM 2 years ago and enjoyed it! Service was good too, not slow as some people experienced.
