Fantasmic Package Question

So IF I can get Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Package (I have been holding a loooong time this morning...). How long before the show do I need to get in line? I was understanding that was the benefit of the package - not having to wait in line so long. But I just read a review that someone wrote saying they had the package and when they went to the show 45 mins prior they were told standing room only, that they needed to be in line a lot longer than that.

If I cannot get Mama Melrose, how soon should I line up ahead of time?

I am stressing here...lol.

When we did the fantasmic package, we were able to walk right in about 30-45 minutes before the show. It was well worth it!

What restaurant does others recommend for the fantasmic package? Last year we did Hollywood Dine and Vine I think. Doesn't one of the restaurants take away two of your dining credits?

With the reduction in shows and no separate entrance for the dining package guests I believe they are telling you to arrive 60 minutes prior to show time and I've read some people are finding that the 60 minutes was not even enough.

This no longer applies...the instructions now is to show up 60 minutes before show time, using the regular entrance (no longer use a separate entrance) At top right of entrance area a CM will take your voucher & direct you to the reserved seats. At 30-45 minutes they remove the ropes and allow general public to fill in any empty reserved seating areas.

Without the package people are lining up as early as 2 hours before the show. The theater is opened at 90 minutes before the show. Don't be late...people with reserved seats who showed up "late" (still 30 minutes before show) found out there were no seats left.

Brown Derby is the 2 TS credit restaurant that has dinner package available. Otherwise, Hollywood & Vine (buffet) and Mama Melrose (Italian table-service/menu restaurant) are both 1 TS credit per person. We have done both Hollywood & Vine as well as Mama Melrose...liked both but preferred Mama Melrose (quieter & more relaxed...good food) We don't like 2 TS credit restaurants - just don't see the food as being twice as good so not worth twice the credits IMHO, so haven't tried Brown Derby. Others do like it.

Wow! I'm glad you told me this. Thanks for the info. It sounds like it is well worth having the fantasmic package now. Can you book the fantasmic package with the online ADR's or do you have to call? Does anyone know?
