Hi!
My family and I are going the week between Christmas and New Year's. I have the Fantasmic package booked the day we will be at HS, eating at Mama Melrose's at 2:30 that day. It will be me, hubby, 3 yr old, and 5 yr old. I booked the pkg, b/c I heard that you have to wait in line over an hour, and thought it would be easier to have priority seating with the package so that 3 & 5 yr old don't have to wait.

I've heard from others that you can just come up later and get a seat towards the back, and not wait in the long line. Since this will be Christmas week, and the busiest week... should I keep the package? It is expensive, but if we are saving waiting an hour, I think it is worth it...

Wanted thoughts on if anyone had gone to Fantasmic Christmas week, and how crowded it was....???

Thank you very much! Cannot wait!

Tara

Oh my goodness - yes, keep the package during Christmas week!

yes, keep the package. Fantasmic will be crazy busy that week.. the whole of wdw will be crazy.

In general, it depends on how popular the narrator is, but that is the most crowded week of the year at WDW. It will be packed, people will be standing in line for hours (waiting during one show to be able to sit for the next show.) Why would you want to cancel it?

OP is talking about the Fantasmic! show at DHS. You're thinking of the Candlelight Procession at the World Showcase in Epcot.

I think you answers for the CP, not for the Fantasmic Package. Fantasmic doesn't have a narrator...

But the answer is still pretty much the same. That week is the single busiest time of year at Disney. Keep the package or the wait for the show will most likely be more then an hour. In fact, even with the package, I would get there at LEAST 30 minutes early. At some point (I think 20-15 minutes before the show) they will open the rest of the reserved seating area as open seating. Once the show is full, it is full and they will deny anyone else from entering.

I will be there Christmas week, I have the Fantasmic dining package, and I wouldn't even think about NOT having the dining package. If you want to see Fantasmic then keep it.

I was thinking of doing this with "free dining" for 12/10-12/14. I thought maybe there was a catch though. This would be no additional charge?

Nope, no catch! It's 1TS credit AND you actually get an appetizer in additional to dessert, which is nice. You can choose from anything on the menu and if you DIDN'T have the dining plan, it's something like $35-$40/person.
