Fantasmic Package - but not on DDP

How does the Fantasmic Package work if you are not on the DDP?

I had suggested to a friend to get the Fantasmic Package. However, she asked since they are not getting the DDP, will they still be able to get it? :confused3 I just realized I had no answer for her. I was of no help. So I told her that I would find out for her.

So, first, will she be able to get the Fantasmic Package without DDP?

And how does it work? Will she have to purchase a full meal (appetizer, entree, beverage and dessert - that's what we usually get with the DDP) or can she just order anything she wants - (her family are not big eaters so an entree and beverage each would be the most they could order)?

We have always had the DDP when we booked a Fantasmic Package so I have absolutely no idea. :confused3

Any suggestions or help would be very appreciated. Thanks. :)
 
I booked it and we're not on dining. D wanted to try Brown Derby, so we're doing the package. It's a bit pricey, but what the heck - we're on vacation.

And yes, it's a prix fixe menu - it includes appetizer, entree and dessert for one fixed price. You don't have to order anything you don't want to order, but you're charged for it anyway.

I didn't realize they had a fixed price for it. I suppose the price would be the same if she ordered the appetizer and dessert as well, but I'm not sure if they would go for it, since they are not big eaters.

Oh, and one other thing - this is one that they hold the reservation with a credit card, I believe. They don't charge it unless you're a no-show (48 hour cancellation).

Just didn't want her to be surprised.

Thanks. I will remind her. I did mention it to her because with a DDP, we always had to give our CC number with a 48 hour cancellation policy.

It's also good that they discuss this with her when she does her booking.
