Fantasmic or Santa

Hey everyone!!

We are busily trying to get some trip plans in order, but I have hit a little snafu in our planning.

Katelyn wanted to see Fantasmic (which we have seen before) while we are at Hollywood Studios. But, the only day it will be shown while we are there (while we don't have other plans) is Thursday. Well, I was looking at the GTKTW activities & Santa is also scheduled for Thursday. So...she now says Santa....what would you guys recommend. She was pretty disappointed not to see Fantasmic, but she will be disappointed not to see Santa.

What kind of input can you give me about Santa?!?!? Thanks for the help!!

I have not been to GKTW, but would choose Santa there it is a one in a lifetime opportunity. Sure, you could see him somewhere else, but doing it at GKTW would be special.

Since she's already seen Fantasmic and if you ever go again, you could see it, I'd skiP it for Santa if she's at all interested in Santa.

Plus, keep watching the schedule for Fantasmic - they may add more shows.

Once in a lifetime opportunity! The Santa is reported to be very, very kind and spends a lot of time with the families. Best to line up for him first, before Dinner or any of the activities OR line up for him at the end of the party so that you don't have to wait forever to see him - but he is well worth waiting for! Plus, she gets to pick a gift!

Fantasmic will be there on another trip.

Although, technically, she CAN go back to GKTW in the future and go to the Christmas party - once you are a GKTW family, you are allowed to come back and participate in parties, eat, play, etc. You won't be able to sleep there again, but they do allow families to return.

We missed the Christmas party altogether on Lauren's trip and one day plan to return and go to the Christmas Party.

PS - we DID catch Fantasmic and really, really didn't like it. We left about halfway through the show. I know MANY people love it, though! But I would have hated it if we had skipped Christmas for Fantasmic and then didn't even like it.

She will have fun regardless, though! So, I guess just let her decide. But make sure she knows she gets to pick a gift out of the gift closet, too. (So do any siblings that are with the wish child!)

YAY!!! Thanks for all of the help!! I will talk to her about it and am sure she will be thrilled to see Santa!! I mean after all...who else gets special visits from the big man in red 2 months before Christmas?!?!?!
