Very short, last minute trip....3 days in the parks. Its an adult trip, and there are 3 of us. One person is not so much a Disney fan, so I'm trying not to overwhelm her. That means not going full on commando. Here is the question: Do we see Famtasmic, or go to the Boardwalk and check out one of the bars there? We are all over 40, but still enjoy a little nightlife. Thoughts or suggestions? Planning is way easier when I take my kids lol.

If all adults and looking to do something for the night, I'd definitely recommend the Boardwalk over Fantasmic. I'd say Jellyrolls (dueling piano bar) is your best best for nighttime entertainment. They don't serve any food at Jellyrolls though, so make sure you grab some food before hand. They've got a decent pizza take-out window on the Boardwalk, or you could do sit-down at ESPN Zone or Big River Grille. Flying Fish is a great restaurant if you want more upscale.

I usually do at least one night at Jellyrolls whenever I'm at WDW ... other things to note ... I think Jellyrolls cover may be up to $15, and last I checked it was only cash at the door (they do take credit for drinks inside though)

I would absolutely do both, BUT the non Disney addict isn't one to stay out late, them make park open the next day. Then again, I don't know that I could stay out til 3am, then make park open, either. Lol

What about Downtown Disney, there are several places to enjoy the nightlife, Raglan Road is great and not really Disneyfied

Raglan Road could definitely work! Wonder how the transportation will be. Thanks for the idea.

Are you staying on property? If so the buses run there pretty late

We are. :) Slightly concerned with travel time due to construction. I read that Buses are taking the long way around. Idk what the long way is, exactly....

Shouldn't be too bad. You can always grab a cab, its not too much to split a few ways.

Skip the show - hit the Boardwalk! Fantasmic is nice, don't get me wrong, but if you're looking for some adult-type entertainment, then I'd definitely go to the Boardwalk area instead. Plus - the back entrance into the World Showcase is right there. If you're at Epcot that day or have a hopper, head over there for some cocktails or apps. Literally less than 5 min walk from the gate to the Boardwalk.

I Love Raglan Road! DTD is a good suggestion for this situation. How about a 'monorail crawl?' There are 3 beautiful resorts on the monorail line to hang out in the lounges or grab a drink to go & explore. There's also a nice lounge in WL that's a boat ride away & has good apps to munch on! :)

Definitely I second the monorail crawl idea and Raglan Road too. I think you've got the right idea. Although I will also note that a friend who was not a Disney fan really turned around when seeing Fantasmic in California, at the end of the day. She said it was the highlight. To each their own!

If it is Wednesday-Saturday, go over to the lounge at POR to see YeeHa Bob's show. Starts at 8:30 and great for all ages. Better than either one of the choices suggested in my opinion.

If they are even mild disney fans Fantasmic is awesome! If they have no interest then just stick to the bars on the boardwalk. You guys might want to try downtown Disney I heard they are renovating and changing the theme.
