Fantasmic! on refurb?

Hello all,
I heard a rumor but I am not sure if it is true.
Is Fantasmic! on refurb as of April 25th? If so , when will it return? I have checked the Disneyland website and searched this forum for info but cannot find any. I sure hope the show will be up and running for our visit...we adjusted our schedule JUST to see that show

Yes it's going down for a short rehab. Of course I'm not sure it will play again until Memorial Day weekend.

Since it's May it would be a weekend only show anyway.

The reason is they work on it for a few weeks. Then they have the POTC premier on the F! stage on the 14th most likely. Maybe it starts showing on the 20th, maybe they wait another week.

If they still have major problems with the boat track in ROA. It would be nice if they did some of the schedules rehab right now. I'm not sure if they got the Columbia going again or not.

For several weeks in their weekly updates, MousePlanet has listed Columbia as being down for refurb March 7-9 (http://www.mouseplanet.com/9560/Disneyland_Resort_Update), so, is it down for routine maintenance, or was there a problem...or both?

F! is scheduled down at the end of April into May.

For some reason in March I think that is yearly or they do one boat a year. It's on dl.com for oiling the decks.

There is another current problem, sudden with the boats or the track.

Yeah, that is why we adjusted our vacation to visit DLR starting on a Sunday in stead of Monday. We probably won't be able to return to DLR for awhile (like 2 years!) so to miss Fantasmic! would be a major dissapointment. Plus the fact that Splash Mtn and Star Tours is down... I sure hope it's back up!

It was cancelled for the late show on Saturday and both shows on Sunday. I was pretty bummed out about that as I was in the park Sunday thru Today. Columbia is still down and the Mark Twain was down Monday thru Yesterday and just came back up today.

No parades, no Star Tours, no Splash Mountain, DCA being under major construction and now this. Really makes me wish that we were not going in May. The decision to go at this time was not mine. It was decided on by family that has never been to DLR that had been told by someone else that May was the *BEST* time to go.

We will still have fun, right???

I still had a blast! You just have to make the best of a "bad" situation. Who knows, Maybe the new Ariel ride will be open by then and they may be doing soft openings for Star Tours. Only time will tell. Just go and enjoy your time at Walt's Park.
