Since MGM is closing at 7PM on 9/2, could anyone verify or confirm if Fantasmic will or will not be shown that day?

Thanks

According to the official hours calendar at the official disney world website there's extra magical hours going on that day, and so Fantasmic will take place at 8:30.

No, that's a MORNING EMH.

You must look HERE for specific EMH info.

But Fantasmic! IS at 8:30pm.

Guests should be able to go into the theater and find a seat starting at about 7pm.

As the date approaches, it is possible that they will MOVE the start-time closer to 7pm.

Yes, it is the morning EMH. I am trying to figure out if we will get to see Fantasmic that day because of the 7PM closing at MGM.

If its listed on the site, guests can see it.

It's not uncommon for the park to close before the start-time of Fantasmic!

Disney does not "throw out" guests right at closing times, anyway.
They just close the ride QUEUES to any more guests getting into them.
The ones who are IN the queues at closing time will still be allowed to ride as their turn comes.

I still think that if, in fact, they are closing MGM at 7pm, they might move the Fantasmic! start closer to say 8pm or 7:30pm as the actual date approaches.

My understanding is that there is a private party at D-MGM that night, so they will actually be (perhaps not throwing out, but rather) corraling guests out of the park and either into the parking lot or into the Hollywood Hills Amphtheater, assuming Fantasmic! is being performed. I would expect that exiting from Fantasmic! that night would be limited to the backstage exit, and of course once you're in the Hollywood Hills Amphtheater, there will be no returning into the park itself.

I agree, up to a point.

What they have been doing with the "parties" is issuing wrist-bands ala' EMH, so its "moot" as to needing to herd or corral "non-partiers" as without a wrist-band, there's not much fun to be had.
We were at MK one night this year when they "closed" for a "cheerleaders party" and, after Wishes, we lingered for awhile (just for soaking up "atmosphere") but most of us wandered out within the hour because the rides were not open to us.

Looks like MK will be doing this for some (all?) of the night "ticketed events" (MNSSHP/MVMCP) this year as well.

The last private party I attended at D-MGM included a complementary buffet and complementary open bar on New York Street. I doubt wrist-bands would be an effective means of securing these from folks who aren't party guests.
