Fantasmic Oct. 3... no later seatings...?

Just off the phone with dis dining and she told me 4:30 was latest Fantasmic /Brown Derby seating and I asked if more would come available later she said no, not for Oct.
she did however have non Fantasmic seatings all evening through 8:00pm
What should I do? do you really have to stand in line for and hour if you have no pkg? We have never done fantasmic and hope to do it this trip....

We have gotten in 30 minutes prior before. In Oct. it should not be as bad as busier times.

This is what has been happening every month for quite a while now, and every time they've opened up later times somewhere between a month and 2 weeks before the dates of the FDP. I know they told you no more times will be opening up, but they've been saying that every month too, so I'd go ahead a check when you get within a few weeks anyway.

They told me they same thing for my November date- 4:30pm is the latest time. I'm wondering if I even need the Dinner package. I don't want to waste my evening park time dining since we only plan on devoting one day to MGM this trip.

Is Fantasmic that crowded in the middle of the week in Nov?

It really shouldn't be this hard... why would they not just book the seating like the other places? Holding back these tables or whatever just doesn't make sense. Guess we'll just eat before we see Fantasmic or if the line is too long just do somthing else.
