Does anyone know what happens if Fantasmic is rained out and canceled and you have a dinner package deal for Momma Melrose lunch and Fantasmic at 6:30 ??

Do you get a new pass for next show, or money back. Its pricey for this i hate to miss the show

This happened to us. You get nothing. We ended up going to the show on a different night and just waiting in the regular line.

Think about it- how can they give you tickets to another show when they've already sold those seats to someone else? (Via Fantasmic dinners on a different night- not that they actually sell tickets.)

I do believe this has happened to some people on here and they were given something to go another night. I would check with the restaurant or guest relations if this does happen while you're there :). They are charging you a package price to include being able to see the show I can't see then saying if you're rained out you can't go another night :goodvibes.

Our show was cancelled due to thunder and lightning - it was August, and this is pretty common. To top it off, they waited right up until show time to cancel - with THOUSANDS of people sitting on metal benches while the thunder got closer and closer! So we ate an overpriced meal, waited in our designated seats hoping not to get fried, got wet anyway and never saw the show that night.

Believe me, we asked and we were told that we could NOT get tickets to another night's show. With daily thunderstorms, ours was most certainly not the only show cancelled that week so there was really no way to accommodate all the people who booked packages on another night. Especially since the package only gets you into a designated area of the stadium - the actual show is free. You are not purchasing entrance into the show- you are just avoiding the standbye line.

The OP should call and find out if Disney offers any guarantee with the packages if the show is cancelled. I bet they don't. You would certainly NOT get any money back if you ate the meal. You MIGHT get your deposit back if you decide to cancel earlier in the day if the weather is risky.

Edited to add: I just found this on the Allears.net site regarding the packages:

What if that night's show is cancelled?

According to the policies of the Fantasmic! Dining Experience, if the show is cancelled because of weather your pass is invalid, and you will NOT be issued a new one.

I work for dining reservations, you do not get a rain check as all of the shows are booked full. If you call us to book one of our advisories is that the show may be canceled due to weather. It's then up to the person booking to decide whether or not they want to proceed. I've had a few decline after that statement.
