i currently have 7:30pm ressies at the celebration roundup bbq with my sis and her family. i also wanted to see fantasmic at 9pm (don't think my DDs will make it to the 10:30pm show).

anywhoooo...if we do the reserved seating area and i don't really care what our assigned seats are, what is the latest time i can arrive at the reserved seating area for the 9pm fantasmic show? 8:45pm?!

another option would be to have the girls take a really long afternoon nap back at the hotel and do the 10:30pm fantasmic show. but that doesn't change the fact that i'd be getting seating assignments right before the 9pm show...

thoughts???

OK, the straight scoop here is that 7:30 BTRBBQ is too late if you want to go to Fantasmic reserved seating. Plus, you will have zero appetitite for the desserts. You will feel rushed thru your dinner - which is all you can eat and you would rather take your time.

My advice? Eat the BTMRR early at 4:30 or 5 or change it to a different day.

Have to agree with the Big Kahuna here, just to short of time frame, but you can get there at 2100 and take what is left.

that's what i was thinking as well, but wanted the disboards to confirm my thoughts that the 7:30pm ressie was too late. i think we're gonna skip the bbq this time around and have something small for dinner so that we can munch on our yummy desserts!

which btw, hydroguy, i thought you may find this interesting: i called on monday 5/23 to check on availability for reserved seating for monday 5/30...CM said they are wide open for the 9pm and 10:30pm shows (which seems odd to me for a holiday weekend?!). CM told me i got a couple days to think about it cause they had a lot of seats still available. i didn't think this would be the case...figured it would have definitely been sold out by then:confused3 i am definitely calling in today to get my reserved seating!

Thanks for the tip! I was planning to call yesterday for F! dessert seating at the one month mark (we are going in late June) but at the last minute one of my kids had something come up and may not be able to go. So I put it off and crossed my fingers. :)

you're welcome! i'm still thinking "the earlier, the better" in regards to calling in for reserved seating...i just couldn't decide! LOL! anywhoo, i still think it's odd for a holiday weekend to not have already been sold out, but yay for us! :)

crossing my fingers as well for your F! dessert seating in late june!

This is interesting, because I just called yesterday for Fantasmic seating on 5/31 at 10:30 and they were wide open as well. I did go through Vacation Planning and they said they could do 5/30 or 5/31 any time. I thought they would be sold out. So maybe it is not as popular as before? I was also wondering maybe Vacation Planning held back some tickets for on-site guests. :confused3

that's what i thought as well...very odd for it to not be sold out. but i also thought that maybe since it's been around a long time, that it is possibly not as popular anymore?!
