We are going in June and purchased the Blue Bayou dinner package which I understand is not a chair - it is a chair pad and a better spot. Is there anywhere that has wheelchair viewing? My mother is disabled and will be in a wheelchair and this is the ONE thing she actually wants to see while we are there.

thanks!

From everything I've read, they ask guests that are in wheelchairs or ECVs to be in the back of the Blue Bayou viewing section. That way, they can remain in their wheelchairs/ECVs, but do not block the view of those sitting on the ground.

Our family friend went last month and is in a wheelchair and they had her in the rear of the BB section as Figment_jii mentioned instead of the top of the walkway as before the FP system was implemented. Maybe they have another section but this was her experience March 20th weekend.

P.S.-They DO require that everyone has a FastPass- our friend pulled FP's for everyone except for her mom in the wheelchair and the CM made sure to say that next time she needed an FP also.

Enjoy! :daisy:

DH and I are both scooter people and have parked in the handicapped section over by the Mark Twain. Is that still there?

I did the Blue Bayou package over Easter weekend with an ECV. Figment is correct. They will have you park the wheelchair in the back of the section, up against the rope. There were about three rows of people in front of the line of ECVs and wheelchairs. There was plenty of space. We were not packed in tight. The view was amazing! My daughter sat in my lap, so we have my brother our foam pieces so he could stack them for a little more cushion.

This the wheelchair section for standby (strictly wheelchairs and their parties, no other disabilities). All other sections have wheelchair areas within them...for bb/RBT/yellow FP it is the back of the lower seated sections, for blue it is the within the standing area by pirates lair with regular guests or specifically WC only on the smoking dock (not used for smoking during show)
