MY DD & I are going to Disney for a short trip. We don't want to spend alot of time eating dinner at a sit down & doing the dinner package.Does anyone know what type of food is available in the Fantasmic area? We thought eating dinner while waiting for the show would take less time. Any thoughts?

Hi Tia,

I don't think there's much to choose from at Fantasmic itself, as you can see here:

But I think you can stop at the outdoor food courts on Sunset Blvd over by R&RC and carry some food in to the show. I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong and you're not allowed to bring food in from other areas of the Studios.

We've grabbed snacks there before and from what I remember they have pb&j sandwiches, hot dogs, popcorn, pretzles and chips. OK in a pinch, but you can always get something at Sunset Ranch Market and take in.

Remember if you're staying at a Disney resort and you're in the habit of using your room key as a charge, that you can't use it in the Fantasmic area.
Cash only!
Took me by surprise my first year.
I was starving too!

I think getting food either in or out of the Fantasmic theatre is a great way to pass the time! I'll never forget our first Fantasmic experience a few years ago...I had read about how crazy it gets and how early you need to get there, etc. Well, when my girls and I arrived at the entrance to Fantasmic about 45 minutes before showtime it was chaotic to say the least! For newbies it was almost scary! Vendors everywhere hawking stuff like you'll never see the opportunity again, snack bar lines out the wazoo and the PEOPLE everywhere! We got snacks outside the theatre and then started up the LONG (I didn't know about this part) walkway...elbow to elbow people and I was really panicking with my girls. Anyway, we get to the theatre and suddenly the crowd disappears and you can move freely about...and the snack lines were practically empty up there!

So, I would most definitely get there early and enjoy a snack supper while waiting!

Have fun....two more months for us! :flower:
