Hi, I'm going to Disneyland next Saturday... first time since 2000! What's the best plan/viewing spot for watching the 9:00 Fantasmic show followed by the 9:25 fireworks? I barely remember the park layout at all so if you can point me to a map or something, that would be awesome. I've read that it's better to go to the second showing of Fantasmic, but unfortunately that's not an option for me since I've got to be up at 3:30 the next morning. Thanks!

I like watching Fantasmic from behind the middle light pole -- it's the area right behind the director's console. The lights on the middle light pole will be at ground level before the show, so it will look like the view will be obstructed; but 10 minutes before the show starts the lights are raised. Be aware that the light pole will block your view, so I recommend moving slightly to the right of the pole (to the right as you're looking at the stage).

If you're watching the 9:00 Fantasmic, and plan to watch the fireworks at 9:25, then my advice (based on invaluable experience :upsidedow ) is to simply stay in the Fantasmic area to watch the fireworks. Fantasmic ends around 9:22, so trying to get to the central hub at 9:25 won't work IMO. After Fantasmic ends thousands of Guests will be herded through Adventureland; and the central hub will already be filled with Guests who have waited in place for an hour to see the fireworks. Also, next Saturday (June 13) is the opening weekend of the Magical fireworks, and Fantasmic is returning after being down for a refurb for 2 months (to add a new dragon :woohoo: ).

There are excellent maps at this link:

This wikimap is good:

Enjoy the shows! :wizard:

Do the reserved seating to the 1st fantasmic show and they will let you stay and watch fireworks.

If you are going to watch the 9pm Fantasmic show, then make sure you are in a spot where you can see the cable off to the right among the trees. You will be able to get a glimpse of Tinkerbell as she flies down from the Matterhorn to the castle. If that is not as important to you, then for Fantasmic, get a spot towards the middle, and to the left as you face Tom Sawyer's Island. Do not sit/stand in the area in front of Riverbelle Terrace & to the right because the trees will block your view of the fireworks.

As S. S. Columbia said, next weekend is the opening weekend of Fantasmic after being refurbished, and you can expect a HUGE crowd that will have waited for a long time to see it since there will be a new dragon, HD projections, and additional characters (Flotsom & Jetsom - the two eels from Little Mermaid).
