I have a friend who has a fear of heights. I just obtained Fastpasses for the two of us for a showing of Fantasmic on February 1st. I have seen Fantasmic multiple times. It just occurred to me that maybe the outdoor theatre set up, might be a trigger to my friend's fear. Does anyone with this same problem have any feedback for me on this. I think my friend would really enjoy this show.

I'm not very good with heights but wasn't effected by Fantasmic. With the theater set-up I never felt that high up tbh.

If you think your friend wouldn't cope too well then maybe you could get there early and try and sit near the front? That way they wouldn't be looking down at hundreds and hundreds of people.

I'm pretty terrified of heights. To the point even balcony seating and seating in some large stadiums up higher as well as some IMAX theatres will completely freak me out. I've never had this issue at Fantasmic. The seating is not particularly steep. I would doubt your friend would have issues with it.

has he ever been to a sporting event in an arena or stadium? If he can deal with than then he should be OK.

The fastpass time says 6:25-6:45. I hate sitting too long, but as long as we take a bathroom break before, I am planning on arriving at about 6:30. I looked at a map of the theatre, and I remember it not being too steep an incline.

My friend is not a sports fan. She once went to a Cubs game here in Chicago, and had a ticket for the upper deck. She left, without seeing the game at all. What was she thinking?

However, the theatre at Fantasmic is all open, and actually quite level.

This sounds like me. In fact, the last time I went to an IMAX theater, it freaked me out so much that I left before it even started. However, I don't remember any problems at Fantasmic.

I have a fear of heights. Balconies at theaters and upper levels at sports stadiums and concert venues freak me out.

The Fantasmic stadium is tame in comparison. Not steep at all (IMO). It doesn't trigger my fear. (Sounds like I am similar to folks above.)

That the upper deck was a death sentence as it was too high?

Went to a Braves game and felt like I would fall to my death if I leaned forward, Fantasmic is kinda high up as you stand at the top of the steps, but not a steep angle.

It's a very shallow stadium - probably about half as deep as an IMAX theater or regular stadium. if it is an issue I'd recommend getting there earlier and take one of the front row seats.
