Fantasmic fast pass

we go to Disney in September. Hoping to snag a fantasmic fastpass late in the day. Anyone ever have luck with this? Or do you think I’ll even need one in September????

Fantasmic FPs have historically not been particularly hard to get, even relatively late into the afternoon.

You never need one. It’s a matter of how early you are willing to arrive at the theater. Arrive early enough, you’ll get in. If you’re going on a weeknight (except for Labor Day), you can most likely go in the theatre 25 minutes early and still get a seat. It may not be as good as some of the FP seats. It may be in the last section, but most likely you’ll get one. If you want to be closer to the center, then you will want a fp and you’ll want to be there at the beginning of the fp window.

Is the “arrive” scanner at the beginning of the entrance or at the theater? It looks like an awfully looong path to the theater!

I'm going to go out there on a limb and say this might change after Toy Story land debuts. I would expect there are going to be a lot more people who go to HS for a full day instead of a half day due to the new land, and since you don't really need FP for any of the shows, Fantasmic is a logical FP.

It's really not that long of a walk. Not sure where they scan your FP, but the path is split into two lanes: those with FP or dining package and those without. I've always done the dining package and they take your ticket at the theater itself . Just guessing, but I would assume you probably scan in at the theater to avoid people jumping lines.

I’ve gotten FP for Fantasmic while walking to the theater. I only ever eat at 50’s and Sci-fi so cant do the package since they’re never included. We always use FP for it, usually getting them close to the show, but as someone said, that may change after Toy Story land.

FP Scanner is closer to the actual seating. Just enter via the correct gate near ToT / RnRC and walk the pathway toward the theater seating.
