Fantasmic Down Feb-June

The other casualty of this delayed and frantic construction schedule is the popular Fantasmic! show. In order to accommodate all of the construction, particularly for the new pirate stunt show on the south end of the island where Fantasmic! is performed, the long running nighttime spectacular will be put into mothballs for four months. As it's currently planned, the last Fantasmic! of the season will be performed on Sunday, February 11th. The show will remain dark until Saturday, June 16th, when it will return from the dead for nightly performances through the summer season. But for four months this winter and spring there will be no Fantasmic! performances, not even during the busy weeks of Easter Vacation when Disneyland is open until Midnight seven days a week.

Wow, bummer for people who have trips planned in that time frame. I am also betting this will make our June trip more crowded as F! comes back up about the same time the subs will supposedly open.

however, there is still a slight chance that it will show on weekends... for one reason, in Dec, my calander said Fanastmic will be done, then the next month, it shows Tom Sawyer Island. I was told that the back island of Tom Sawyer Island was gonna be turned into pirate island... something about a house or something...

So glad we are set for the 10th! We have never seen the show after many years of going to Dl and planned in a Saturday just to see it.

Well Poo-Poo! We are going Tuesday-Friday in the middle of March and I have yet to see this show! Looks like it's going to have to wait a little longer. Dadgummit!

Sure enough! I just checked the calendar for the weekend that we are going (10th & 11th) and it says that it is playing but the next weekend (17th and 18th) it says it is closed .

I suppose that means that the ones with SP's are going to be jam-packed in there to see the last show! Well... this should make for an interesting trip! lol!!

Bummer.

Anyone know if they'll at least have the Electrical Parade going on in early June? I'd hate to go when there's absolutely zero evening entertainment.
