We are wondering about booking a dinner package for Fantasmic. The dinner seating is something like 3-6 for the 6:30 show. We'll be there on a night when there is an 8:00 show and that's the one we were planning to see (and the pkg. doesn't go with an 8:00 show). How does the crowd for a 6:30 show compare with the 8:00 show? I guess I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth it to book the pkg. and see the 6:30 show, or whether the 8:00 is not so terribly crowded? Any thoughts?

They don't offer the Fantasmic package for the 8PM show. From what I have heard the second show is not hard to get into but I guess it would depend on when you are going. Remember that next year they are switching to 2 show-days a week, that will surely make a difference on the crowds at the later show.

Last year, we did not do the package as we decided to go to the 10:00 show (we were there Labor Day week during Free Dining). We waited in line for 30 minutes before getting in and this is because they cleaned the entire theater before they let the second show in (they cleaned up everyone's popcorn boxes, drink cups, ice cream wrappers, etc.). Once we got inside, there were a few seats left, but not many. With them cutting down on amounts of shows in a week, it may make a difference on the crowds when there are two shows a night.

We did the package and it worked really well for us. We had a meal earlier than we would normally at 4pm, but just ate a late breakfast and no lunch that day. We then showed up 30 mins before the show and had front row seats! We would def do it again!
