Just curious about everyone's opinions. Am trying to decide between Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose's. We will be a party of two adults and two 7 yr old boys. We used to eat at H & V when it was character and enjoyed the food then ...but Mama Melrose seems kinda fun, also. Is it worth the extra money? ALL :cool1: opinions appreciated.

I've never eaten at H&V, however Mama Melrose is one of our must dos, even if we aren't doing the FDP. We love it!

Try Holly & Vine worth the money has a great variety and the food is awsome tried Mama rosas ....I like thier food too but the ds 4 dd 8, 9 didnt care for it

My 2 7yo boys ate at VH last year and loved it...they had everything they wanted. They loved the desserts too.

I prefer going to Hollywood and Vine for the CP just because it's cheaper, and the food is pretty good for a buffet.

Mama Melrose's is very good as well. I've always enjoyed my meals there.

I'll go with H&V here, due to the child factor.
This spring, for the FDP, our group included two 7 yr olds, a 13 & a 16.
The two 7's are picky, the 13 year old girl is just begining to try different things & DS16 is an adventurous eater. All four of them liked it! The 7 yr olds really liked the kid's buffet actually being right to their size, & being able try all sorts of foods.
We have really good Italian food in RI & Mass, so we skipped Mama's for that reason. the kid's have their established favorites, as far as Italian food goes & we figured we wouldn't rock that boat :goodvibes

Have a super trip!

Thanks -- we are leaning toward Hollywood and Vine but am still on the edge.

I am in the minority, but we went to H and V last Thursday night for the Fantasmic package and I thought it was awful. I wish I had spent the extra $$ and went to Mama Melroses. My husband and son were not impressed either. I guess it is just what people like.

We just ate at Mama Melrose on 12/19. DH & I were fine, loved are food. DD age 10 did not eat anything but bread. DS age 8 was fine. He loves pasta. We had a 4:30 PS and the show was at 7pm. We did not have dessert (even though it was included) in order to make it to the show by 6:30. They were very busy that night!!!! I have never tired H & V but will next time we go.
