Fantasmic! Dinner packages...

We are going back in November and want to hit the F! again...my dd has never been, and my boys dont remember it very well because they were so small. I didn't do a package that year--not even sure if they offered it then,just remember sitting with 2 little boys for an eternity before it began!!!! It really was hard for them as it got full pretty early....so my question is for you that have done the package and maybe went again without it. Was it worth it to do the package---are the seats that great? Or should we just be there 2 hours early and wing it? I am assuming if we did it we would fork over 2 TS credits and do Brown Derby. Also..if it's offered twice on the nights we are going, which time is better? Thanks so much!!! My kids are really wanting to do this and I don't want it to be overshadowed by a wait that might be useless!

We did the package in January, and it was great. We saw F! on a Thursday night at 6:30 on a day with a crowd level of 4. We ate at Mama Melrose at 3:00, which was fine. By 5:00, you could barely move around the area where F!, ToT and RnR are - it was wall to wall people. We went in the F! entrance at 5:45 and the reserved seating section was mainly empty. The seats are on the right side, but we could see everything well (Robo has a great map if he happens to see this post). At the time we entered, the general seating area was almost full - people were seraching for seats in the upper rows. We had a group of twelve and were able to all sit together on one of the lower rows.

We have gone without the package before, but it was before F! was reduced to a few shows per week. If you go at a not very busy time in November, I think you should be an hour early without the package. If you are going Thanksgiving or Jersey week, maybe a little earlier.

If there are two showings, the second showing is generally less crowded. The downside is that you have to wait outside the theater since the first show is going on, and there is no package for the second showing.

The downside of the package is that if Fantasmic! is canceled (weather, etc.), you have eaten an expensive, early meal and still haven't seen the show. The vouchers are only good for that day.

Thanks very much!!! That is what I was wondering....I am going the full week before Tday---I am hoping it'll be slow to the point that an hour will cover us if we do not do the package...
