Is the Fantasmic dinner package still available ?
If so which restaurants are available with this ?

yes, i was told there is a fastasmic dinner package.

you can either choose brown derby, hollywood and vine, or some italian rest (can't remember the name).

if you do this you get preferred seating for the show.

the price is about 22-30 for adults and 10 for kids.. usually the kids must be younger then 11..

I just reserved the package for my dh and I for Feb. We were only offered the choice of Mama Melrose's or the Brown Derby. Hollywood and Vine was not even mentioned.

The price for MM's was $28.99 per adult and Brown Derby was something like $36.99 per adult.

MM's offered an appetizer, entree', and dessert. Drinks and tax not included, but the gratuity was. Standard Italian fare.

Brown Derby had a lot of seafood and filet mignon. We didnt pick that one, so Im afraid I dont remember much more of what she said about it.

Hth's!

I called last Saturday to make a reservation and was told that only Brown Derby was on the list and it had been this way for a long time. Knowing better and not feeling like fighting with her about this, I called back in a couple of hours and was given the correct list, Brown Derby, Mama Melrose and Hollywood and Vine.

On Monday, I called back and spoke with a supervisor and suggested that they needed to train their cm's better.

On December 13th last month I had the Fantasmic Dinner package with H&V.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the information. I called back and spoke with another cm. This one gave us the option of Hollywood and Vine, which I changed to. Also, the first cm had told me the seating was center front. After reading here I asked the new cm about this and was told the truth. She said it is on the right side of the theater.

Not great seats but at least I know my options now.

Thanks again ladies!

Yes. We sat on the right side. I've only seen Fantastmic twice and the first time was center (without the dinner package). I liked those seats better and didn't realize we'd be put on the right side this last time. That was my only disappointment. SO, now I have to weigh is it worth it to stand in line with everyone else and take a chance at getting a better seat or am I better off not waiting in line and getting put on the right side. Hmmmm...

The one good thing she did tell me is that if it isnt terribly crowded, we are welcome to change our seats. The exception being we can only do it *after* they let the crowd in. If we try to move before the others enter, we will be asked to leave!!

So we are going to just wait and see what the seats are like and if they are terrible we will just wait and try to move.

Im too stressed to worry over this! :teeth: Ive heard most seats are good, so Im going to just trust that it will be fine. Otherwise I obsess over these things.

Does anyone know what time of year the Fantasmic Package is offered at 50's Prime Time Cafe? That is the restaurant that my family is most interested in trying.

I asked for it for last month's trip and it wasn't available. We had an early lunch there separately instead.

I don't think that the fantasmic dinner package has/is ever offered with 50's prime time....I could be wrong on that though....we have never done the package as we fail to find the real benefit to it(other than not waiting in line).....with the package, you have limited menu selections and pay a higher price than you would have just eating there on your own...also, the reserved seating is not what we consider "prime" seating or worth paying extra for....personally, I would rather prefer getting in the line at the last minute(or relatively last minute) and just taking on the seats in the back of the theatre....we have done this many times before and got seats in the middle of the theatre, but, in the back row and could see everything just fine...an added benefit was we were the first ones out of the theatre and the park and didn't have to fight the "cattle drive" out...just my .02......had anyone else out there really found a substantial benefit to this package? I'm curious

kevind65,
I just booked a Fantasmic dinner package at H&V and the price is the exact same as if I had eaten there without the Fantasmic package (21.99 since it is a fixed-price buffet). So really there is no downside since if it is not crowded i can change seats anyway. I guess the only downside is that the reservation is held by credit card and there is a $10 charge for no-shows, but they do allow cancellation with 48 hours notice. So maybe there isn't a big upside, but there really isn't much of a downside either.
