Will be making our (self, DH, DD17, DS14, DS12) first trip to WDW in June and hope to book a Fantasmic Dinner Package while there. Assuming availability at all three restaurants, which one would you choose for our family of 5? Have read mixed reviews for HW and MM, mainly good ones for HBD. Don't mind spending the extra $$ if the meal is that much better at HBD, but also don't want to spend more than we have to. (Nothing bugs me more than paying too much for mediocre food:mad: ) Would really appreciate your input. Thanks!

We have 3 ds 16,14 and 12. We always chose hollywood and vine. We just ate there for easter dinner but couldnt get the fantasmic pkg. We did the pkg. there in aug. Its the cheapest restraunt. I know everyone will find something they like and its acceptable food. We are not too fancy. Mama Melroses always smells so good when you walk by. I guess its up to your familys tastes. Have you reviewed the menus. The fantasmic menu I think at MM and HBD is a little different from the regular menu. Maybe other posters can answer that one.

Check out the allears.net website menus and decide which one suits your family best. We like H&V because they have something for everyone.

Actually, I did read the allearsnet menus, and all sounded good. Was just hoping to get some first-hand reviews from people who have tried the different restaurants. Thanks!

We love the Hollywood Brown Derby, but with your brood I think Hollywood & Vine is probably the better choice.

BTW, lately the times available for the Fantasmic package have been ridiculously early. If you book the package now they'll probably offer you times no later then 4:30pm. I'd recommend booking now and calling back a couple of weeks before your trip to see if you can get a later seating.

We'll be at WDW in June too, but will forego the package and have lunch at the Brown Derby instead. (besides, after you've seen the Disneyland Fantasmic the WDW version seems a pale imitation :smooth: )

Called on 2/5 for our trip on 4/8, and only Hollywood and Vine had space. So call early. Our seating wat at 4:10.

I think all restaurants there are pretty good. I grew tired of buffets by the end of my trip, so you might want to consider Brown Derby for viddles prepared the way you want it too.

FWIW, we eat at buffets because our young kids (2 and 5) are picky and usually find something they like. Since your kids are older, I would try the Brown Derby. To me Hollywood and Vine had food similiar to the Crystal Palace.
