I have a 9:00 ressie for Fantasmic in DHS on Wed - 5/26/09. According to the calendar at disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/calendar/ DHS closes at 9:00. How does that work?
Also, we are staying at OKW and will need to get back after the show. Does the bus still run after the park is closed?
Will I need to take my vehicle to DHS in order to get back to OKW? Any suggestions? TIA.

I didn't thin kthey offered dinig packages for the later show? I thought that you could only get them for lunch or dinner before the first show. Anyway, the bus will run for 2 hours after park closing according to what I was told by every bus driver on our thanksgiving trip, so you should be fine as the fantasmic show is a little more than half an hour long, but i would check my ressie to be sure of which show you should be attending.

That's how all the nighttime shows work. They start just as everything else closes.

The buses will run until everyone is out of the park.

You are right. Unless this is something new, they only offer the Fantasmic Package for the first show.

I think they mean that the show is at 9pm they tell you the time of your dinner and then the time of the show when you book it. I have one at 455pm dinner with 9pm show. But yes the buses run 2 hours after the park closes.

Is that the only show that night?

I'll have to call back and see if there is an earlier show that night. I was not offered an earlier show.

Doesn't matter when the show is - it just matters what time your dinner is. If you have a dinner reservation at 9 PM then you don't have the Fantasmic package. Your dinner is probably at 3 to 5 PM, and is not likely to be any later than that. And yes, the buses will still run after Fantasmic is over.

DHS often schedules Fantasmic for the same time as park closing. There likely isn't an earlier show.

I was told that if we wanted the Fantasmic package we had to have a late lunch, so we are eating at 2pm. Hope it's worth it at the Brown Derby.

I called back today (12/10/09) and the times are correct....dinner at Mama Melrose at 4:15. I asked why we weren't booked for the 1st Fantasmic show and she said it was probably sold out. Probably??? They do not know? Any advice?

You're not booked for the show, just for the dinner. At the dinner you will be given a voucher for preferred seating for the show. The dinners are always booked for a time much earlier than the show. See the links below - it does not look like there are two shows on that date, just one. I don't recall ever hearing that the Fantasmic package applied to the second of two shows, just the first.

The schedule at

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/may10.cfm?requesttimeout=1000

and

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/mayfw10.cfm

indicate only one Fantasmic show is currently scheduled for 5/26/10, at 9 PM. So it appears that there is no earlier show.
