Okay, anyone who goes to Disney mid-August, is it necessary to book the fantasmic dinner package (we'd be there 8/19)? If we don't book it, what time would you recommend getting in lline for the 8:30 show?

If you are going to eat dinner anyway, and one of the three restaurants is to your liking, there is no downside to doing the package.

If you chose not to, I would be on line between 90-60 minutes prior to the show.

Definitely do the package. You have to eat dinner anyway. We did Hollywood and Vine last year and it was great. We did rides until 15 minutes before the show started and we were able to walk right in. The other plus is that you also leave through a special exit without all the crowds. I did Fantasmic without the package once and it was a nightmare. If you love standing in a crowd for ninety minutes, then there is no need to do the dinner package.

Hollywood and Vine

Mama Melrose

Brown Derby

ok 2???

Which is the cheapest and can you have the package for lunch???

Thanks

The order PRaffen lists them is in order from lowest cost to most expensive.

I don't believe you can do lunch.

We ate at Brown Derby about five years ago and while the food is good, I think it's too pricey especially as we will have two teens with us who don't eat much. We will probably reserve Hollywood and Vine this time - have read good reviews about it (it's a buffet)

Getting to Fantasmic is a pain without the package. As long as this package is available, I will ALWAYS book it.

The best part is that it is easy in, easy out. We arrived abut 30 min before the show and had great seats. We were practically the first ones out because of the location of those seats.

Having done it both ways.....BOOK THE PACKAGE!!! We ate at Brown Derby, it was good but we will try less $$$$ next time at one of the others.
