Fantasmic! Dinner Package - 2nd Show Added - Which Do I Go To?

I have a F! Dinner Package on 12/21, with reservations at the BD at 5:40PM. My reservation says "1st Show". When I booked the package there was only 1 F! show at 8:30PM, which gave my family more than enough time to have a leisurely dinner and get to the show.

As expected, a 2nd show was added at 7PM. A few questions:

1) Am I still able to go to the 8:30PM show?

2) When Disney says "1st Show", are they referring to the 1st show that was scheduled (8:30PM), or the 1st show of the evening.

With a 5:40PM reservation, there is no way I can make the 7PM show.

Thanks All! :)

That's interesting.

Wow, thanks for the info, but that is a really horrible setup, and I'm sure it ruins tons of visitors plans.

I'm going to call Disney and see if they can change the F! reservation to the 2nd showing. I'll keep you all posted.

Have a great trip!

i called about mine and they said I would have passes to the second show. There are a few threads on it on the dining board with the Minnie's Hollywood and vine meal

I should add that this is what I have been told. we will see what actually happens on 12/10 when we go. Sometimes things don't seem to run so smoothly between departments

I actually booked one of these a few weeks ago for our stay on 1/27. We have a 5:00 reservation at Hollywood and Vine and Fantasmic is 7:00 that evening. On a generally low crowd week (relatively low at least) when do we need to get to Fantasmic to get into our section? The main purpose of booking the reservation was to avoid waiting 45-60 minutes for Fantasmic. This is actually the first and only ADR I've ever booked.

You really want to be in your seats by 30 min before showtime. After that, if the theatre is at capacity, they will open the remaining unoccupied seats in the reserved section to standby guests.

And when it comes to F!, you can't really count on a low crowd day translating into a small crowd at F!. It's a major draw for those already in the park. And then you have guests coming into the park late in the day just to see F! We've been there on a crowd level 3-4 and seen them reach SRO by 20 minutes before show time.

What I don't understand is who is getting the F! Dining Package seating for the 2nd show?

As the 2nd show was just added a couple of days ago, Disney could not have been scheduling F! Dining packages with a "2nd Showing" associated with it until 2 days ago.

And if that's the case, why would all the people who were rightly under the impression they were seeing an 8:30PM continue to have their reservation associated with that show, and then any new F! Packages get associated with the 1st show.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the solution for Disney seems so obvious.
