Fantasmic Dinner - Brown Derby

We have ADRs for Brown Derby the evening we will be at the studios, but didn't do the Fantasmic Pkg. as I thought it wouldn't be necessary in late Sept. I'm having second thoughts now but need a little more info in order to make up my mind. Here's my question: If we do the Fantasmic thing, which has a preset price per person, can we order anything we want for dinner or is our dinner pre-selected or limited selection? If we don't get to choose from the whole menu then I'm definitely not doing the package, but if it's whatever you want, then I have to figure out the increased cost (due mainly to the kids menu).

we did this in february (fantasmic package w/brown derby). As I recall it was a select menu that was included, and adult (alcoholic) beverages were not included. However you could order them and pay if you wanted, and we had no problem finding the dishes that we wanted on the fantasmic menu. I believe you get a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. I would say go ahead and book the package -- we in no way felt deprived choosing from the select menu

We did the Fantasmic Dinner package in March and we were able to order anything from the regular menu-appetizer, dessert and main course. DH and I split the Cobb Salad Appetizer...highly recommended! Normally we don't have three courses at Disney meals but the portions were not too large so we managed.

I just did the Fantasmic package on 8/5. We had the entire menu to choose from, we each got one appetizer, one entree and one dessert. Lots to choose from, the food was fantastic and we had great service. I would highly recommend Brown Derby.

We did Hollywood and Vine on our trip in 2002 and really didn't like it at all.
