We are three adults who have never seen Fantasmic. Should we do a Fantasmic package, or just eat CS and wait in line?

Thanks for voting. I love 50s Prime Time, but obviously that doesnt work with the package. I really hope we can see Fantasmic this time.

Really, I don't like any of the TS in HS, but it may be worth it due to the only 2 Fantastmic! showings a week. It will probably be waaaay crowded.

ETA: if you decide to do the package, I wouldn't recommend H&V. We didn't like it at all.

We are doing F! package for the convenience of the advanced seating. I've eaten at Mama Melrose's, and it was ok. This time we are trying the Hollywood and Vine, but the main reason for this is F! package.

Of the three choices, I would do MM and not do the package. We've done this before and got worse seats than the regular attendees AND we had to wait an extra 30 minutes. :rotfl:

Having just done this last week, I highly recommend doing the dinner package. If you don't, you will have to get in that line REALLY EARLY to be assured you'll get in, since they are only doing Fantasmic 2 nights a week. They even recommend those with the dinner package should arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour before showtime now! We found the reserved seats to be in a great location - we could see just fine, plus we were some of the first people outta there at the end, which is a big plus. That mass of people exiting is the worst part.

We did Mama Melrose. They've changed their menu again since last time we ate there, and we thought it was okay, but not great. The service was slow as well.

I was about to post a similar poll. Will be watching to see what others suggest.

Just did the Fantasmic! package with 4 adults and two kids and it worked really, really well. We ate at the Brown Derby which was a good deal because we received an appetizer, entree, dessert and drink for $47 and we had guaranteed seating. We had been shocked at the suggestion to show up 90 minutes in advance for the show and I wanted to make sure that my parents didn't have to stand around waiting in a long line.

With the package, we had a really delicious dinner in a beautiful restaurant and then went straight to the show. We arrived at the Fantasmic amphitheater about 20 minutes early (not as early as they recommended, even with the package) and the arena was absolutely packed. We were directed to a special section at the far right of the arena where NO ONE was sitting. We had our pick of seats and a good view of the show. We were also able to easily exit the arena as well, which was great, considering how crowded it was.

I'd also note that we were on the DDP and paid out of pocket for this meal. I think it was well worth it and we saved the 1TS for a signature dining experience at the California Grill that would have cost a lot more than $47 per person if we weren't on the dining plan.
