fantasmic dining package

We have fantasmic package booked right now and they just add another fantasmic on the day we are going. I tried calling to see if we could get a later time b/c our dinner is currently at 3:45pm, but they don't show anything avail. My question is for the fantasmic package are we only allowed to do reserved seating for the 6:30pm show or can we go to the 8pm show if we want? Do they give you a printed ticket with the show time you are allowed to go to? These res's are for 11/30. Would I be ok to go to my dinner res and not use the fantasmic package for the 8pm show? Is there still a long line for fantasmic on double showing nights? Thanks for the info.

Yes, the reserved seating is only for the first show.

There is less of a line at the second show when the shows are at 8:30 and 10:00; but I don't know if that would still be true when the shows are at 6:30 and 8:00. It's much easier to ask small children to wait until 8 pm than 10 pm, after all.

F! packages are good only for the first seating.

All the F! ADR times are relatively early - in the 3:00-5:00 range.

Oh!! So, they don't offer the packages for the 2nd showing???? So do you guys mean that the 2nd showing is entirely 1st come, 1st serve? That would explain why there was no availability, then.

Correct - no packages for the 2nd show - and no reserved seating at that show.

Boy you learn something new everyday, especially on the DIS....That is why I love the DIS Boards so much. We have been trying to get a F package for one of our dates in December and no such luck. But after finding this out, I think I will stop trying because it seems like the 8pm showing maybe a bit better for us, plus isn't there a concession stand within the theater? Has anyone ever had that before and if so, how was it?

There are some places to get "real food" near the turnoof for the theater on the main throughfare, and there is a cart literally right outside the theater. The cart only had nachos, churros ect.
