I called right at 7, 90 days in advance and no Fantasmic Dinner Packages remain for 12/27. We are not staying at a Disney resort. Any advice on whether there is still hope to obtain a reservation? The online booking was not available for the package, so I had to call the reservation line. 12/27 is our only available day.

Thank you for any advice.

I would keep trying to call back. You never know if someone might cancel between now and then. 12/27 is the day I wanted Fantasmic and I got it by calling at 7AM Sunday morning (my 90 day mark arriving on 12/26), and while I would have preferred Mama Melrose's, I had to settle for Hollywood & Vine.

Is it possible to attend fantasmic without a package on that date? We have attended the show three different times and have never used a package - and we were really pleased with our seats two of the three times.

Yes, but the difference is you use the general entrance line, which will start lining up earlier, while the "packages" use a special entrance and has seats on the far right side sectioned off until the very end, I believe.

We had a similar problem when we made our ADRs for our October trip. Minutes into our 90 day mark they said it was sold out.

We found out this was not the case. They did not release the package for a full week after our ADR window. (I found this out through my DIS friends) Someone called each morning and 7 days after my window opened the packages were released. There were plenty to chose from that morning.

Most CMs will just say it is sold out, rather than look deeper into the system and see that they haven't opened.

I bet this is the case for you. Keep trying!:thumbsup2

They do not do that all the time, do they, as I got mine at the 90+1 day window on Sunday?

Same here asI called on our 90 +10 day window and it was the 1st ADR I requested and was avail! So glad we did as it was soooooooooooooooooo worth it in the seperate entry and the section was roped off all night! The place was packed to the gills with people but having this option meant we showed up for the show @ 7:40 or so for the show, did not have to wait in that huge sea of people!!!

Update - I've been calling evey day and today, 10/4, they had Mama Melrose or Hollywood and Vine for 12/27. I took Mama Melrose for 12/27 and am glad I won't have to keep calling every day.

Wanted to let those of you who still don't have reservations to keep calling since it seems there are cancellations out there or maybe they just open more reservations over time.

Yes!! Keep trying! Because of your post I decided to try again (tried 5 days ago and no availability) and I just got Mama Melrose for Dec. 29 Fantasmic! package! WOOT WOOT!

:)Like you guys I couldn't book online and when I called, they were sold out for 11/01 for Brown Derby....then I just booked Brown Derby by itself...then it occurred to me that they weren't showing Fantasmic that night. We basically wanted the package becasue we are on DDP and wanted appetizers.

Congratulations :yay: and thank you for posting. I'd been unsuccessful in securing a package but after reading your posts I think I will continue to try every day in case I am lucky enough to nab a cancellation too. Wish me luck! :wizard:

Just back from our first WDW trip. When I was booking ADRs I couldn't get a Fantasmic package. Not having the experience or perserverance that most posters seem to have I just gave up disappointed. I booked a 5 PM for Hollywood & Vine anyway (on a different night than the one I was trying for) When we were seated the first thing they brought us was the reserved seat ticket for Fantasmic. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I'm hoping to score a ressie for the F! package for 1/9 (my 90+10 is this thurs)..

I've been reading on other threads that if you do the F! package, there isn't a separate entrance anymore? You need to stand in line with the rest of the public trying to see the show also?

They've just opened up a separate entrance again ~ it's a little further along than before, nearer to Beauty and the Beast show.

Good luck with getting your ressy. :wizard: :wizard:

Wow, how lucky is that!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for the hope from this thread! I called today to see if they had a F! package for my trip in a couple of weeks and they did for Mama Melrose! I'm not sure if it's because they added more Fantasmic days, but I'll take it! :thumbsup2

I would keep trying or ask the CM to note it in the res. I had problems booking mine b/c they weren't available yet at my 90+10 day so the CM just wrote in the notes to the restaurant that we wanted the package. She said she does this often and has never had a problem with it.

Dining CMs are pretty notorious on the boards for not knowing how things work in the real world. They are often people sitting comfortably at home in North Dakota, making Dining Reservations.

I'm curious as to how it worked for you when you got to the restaurant and when you tried this (recently or a while ago) I've never heard of it, and don't see how it could possibly work.

My other thought is that it may not have ever been a problem for the CM, it works great for them to get the guests off of the call, but I have visions of annoyed guests wanting packages that aren't there for them when they get to the restaurant.
