Fantasmic Dining Package Question

How hard is it to get seats to see Fantasmic in late August/early September without the dining package? We used the dining package last year around this same time of year, but it seemed like there were lots of empty seats still available. How early do we have to get there with no dining package? It will just be myself and DS5.
