Fantasmic Dessert Seating & "Snow"

We did the Fantasmic Dessert Seating at Christmas, and I was really put off by the "snow" that fell (spoiler alert: it's soap bubbles). We were sitting in the middle section and I think that we may have been in the worst area for it because I think that the side sections weren't covered as much as we were. To be honest, I was so busy trying to get that dessert box closed that I didn't pay much attention (they did come over and warn our row it was coming). But I'm wondering if anyone else has done this at Christmas and perhaps if they sat on the sides and weren't as heavily impacted by the the soap snow. I really like the fantasmic dessert seating and would do it again this year if I thought I could pick an area where we could still open up our dessert boxes for the show. Where we were, it really wasn't possible. The outside of the box was then covered in soap so we had to just eat it later. :sad1:

Which section were you in?

So many actually complain they don't get ENOUGH "snow" the the Fantasmic! area. We usually see the last show of the night, so only been in the snow a couple times, and it wasn't heavy where we were.

We were in the middle section I believe (I know there was one section to our right; there may have been more than one to our left). We were in the second row. I wonder where they complain they don't get enough of the snow - that's the section we want! Our dessert boxes and the empty chair beside me were covered in soap. There was no way we could have eaten from the dessert boxes during the show; the CM's warned us to close them as "something was coming", which was obviously the soap.

We went in the middle of November. Center area, front row, middle. It was a little much snow for my taste, but not that much that kept us from eating. ;) We covered our boxes while it was going on, then used our napkins to wipe the box clean and that was it.

Same as Vala, we sat center, middle, but in back. It was definitely a TON of snow and went on for what seemed like forever, but I had never seen it before, so it was a little magic moment for me. I had covered my baby while standing in the back, but our section was right underneath one of the towers that sprayed the snow, so her blanket was completely covered. By then we weren't eating anymore, so it wasn't too bad, but it was a ton in that section.

Thanks for the heads up. I was planning on doing this in December and may reconsider.

Being Canadian I was not so enthusiastic or impressed - I wanted to eat my very expensive dessert box! :) It's snowing right now - less than magical here!

Thank goodness - I was starting to feel like the only one. Sounds like the middle area certainly gets quite a bit - I wonder if anyone who has sat on the sides is lurking and could comment on how intense it was?
