Do people think a dessert party for fantasmic at 68.80 will be worth the cost?

Also where would they put this party? Would the viewing be good?

This is for TIW party date of May 11th.

No idea, since as far as I know it has never been done before.

yeah- NO. Not when I can get a 3 course meal for half the price and still get a reserved seat.

68.80 just to see some fireworks and a few bites of overpriced pastries. Hmm no.

A cookie, a cup of coffee and a seat anywhere. Now that's worth it.

The party will be at the back of the theater. I've been once before when they were doing one...not sure if it was a TIW party or just a special event someone reserved. Because it's at the back, I don't think it would be that great of a view. You're paying for the desserts and the reserved seating...possibly more comfortable seating than the bleachers, but to me that's negligible. Personally, if I had that kind of $ to spend, I'd do a nice dinner at one of the upscale restaurants I've read such great reviews of and take my chances on a free seat with a better view.

Now, if it were something more like $10-20 per person, I'd be more interested in it. But for nearly $70? Sheesh.

ETA: Check out Robo's map here. The party area is #10.

I'm sure part of the pricing is that booze is included.

How many people are in your party? I just booked June and the cost is no where near that price per person.

Is this @ Disneyland or Disneyworld? I've done the one @ Disneyland. Many years ago. I think it was $52 then. Anyway, did it as a surprise for my husband who was turning 40. At Disneyland, the dessert party is held on a very small balcony (upstairs). I think above the place where you can buy chowder. They had a lot of desserts to choose from, all mostly bite sized and either soda, lemonade, coffee, etc. to drink. It wasn't anything spectacular and I can honestly say we didn't eat $52 worth of dessert. If you've seen fantazmic before, I don't think it's particulary worth it. There is another option of sitting closer, roped off area, with a boxed sort of meal. Did that too, wouldn't do again. Not worth the $. Disneyworld puts on a better Fantazmic show but I don't know of any dessert party there. If it's Disneyland you're thinking of doing that at, then you know it's a much smaller area and very congested. It was nice to sit up out of the crowd but did not have the best of viewing considering the price tag.

You may be thinking of the Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party. This is not the same party. It is a special event for Tables In Wonderland members to see Fantasmic at DHS.

It is at Walt Disney World, not Disneyland. It's not a regular event, it's a one-time special.

I was wondering about this desert party as well. We have TIW and were considering it, but if it is in section 10 and is mostly just drinks, then it prob isn't for us. Neither of us drink much.
